Well kinda Source I do predict that you'll need a separate generator to play the PS3, no make that nuclear power plant
And this makes me want one why, I see high bills coming and that's a NO F'N THANK YOU! Though with that name, I can't see them being a truly helpful source.
now for sure, only the rich can buy a 360.... POOR DUDE: i got a $360 but i can't afford to play it costs around 360 more per month.
There's no noticeable difference in my electric bill since November, other than the usual winter and summer increases.
The site says it costs like about $3 a month or year to run. Hardly noticable, but still pretty interesting stuff.
If I’m going to be using a next gen system to play Uno I want to be burning as much fossil fuel as possible.
My bills have been pretty much on par since I bought my 360 as well. Oh, so the 1 other one console released between now and then won't be more energy draining?...
Source: http://www.xbox-scene.com/ Acording to them, this is the wasted energy each system exerts in standby mode: Console | Energy Leakage | kWh Wasted Each Year | Annual Cost * Playstation 1 | 0.1W | 1.752 kWh | $0.26 * Playstation 2 | 2W | 17.52 kWh | $2.63 * Xbox | 0.2W | 3.50 kWh | $0.53 * Xbox 360 | 2W | 17.52 kWh | $2.63 * Gamecube | 0.2W | 3.50 kWh | $0.53 * Dreamcast | 0.2W | 3.50 kWh | $0.53
LOL....it aint much....but the thread title still stands true (or sorta, looks like it tied with the PS2) so i've wasted around $10 from my PS2...lol
Good. This frickin' global warming thing is taking too damn long for my tastes. Looks like I'm gonna have to support the 360 if I want to see the statue of liberty knee deep in saline before I die.
Well I guess I'm doing my part to bring ruin upon the Earth. I...I once left my 360 on for like three hours. Forgive me, rain forest.
If that is all it costs, compare that with replacing batteries in the old gameboys, gamegear, and what not. Sure makes rechargeable batteries a steal.
You know, a thought just occured to me. My toaster pulls more power than that, I wonder if that means that it's "scientifically" more powerful than the 360?
