Ehh. I can't stand villian-overcrowding in superhero movies, starting with Batman Returns and getting worse from there. SM3 especially just ended up cluttered, and I hope that Scarecrow + Two-face (sorta) + Joker doesn't end up the same way.

    Cillian Murphy kicks ass, though.

Excellent, I thought Murphy did a pretty good Scarecrow.

I read somewhere that Edward Nigma makes an appearance as well (played by Anthony Michael Hall, I think).

I hoping we'll just see Bats round up Scarcrow in an opening sequence or something and that will be the last time we see him. That would be a good opening, jumping right into some action.

These are the best news for Batman, right after that bat-bike thing.
I am so psyched about this movie!

Well, niether Nigma or Dent *start* as villians, so introducing their civilian sides to help build their characters isn't a bad idea. It certainly beats introducing and explaining a brand new bad guy in less then 10 minutes. As mentioned by another posted, SM3 was overcrowded with villians, but if they just introduced Eddie Brock and saved Venom for the 4th movie it would have been *much* better for both films.

Since TDK is apparently going to be based on "The Long Halloween", I can definately see more baddies in it..and if they give each baddie the amount of appearance time as they did in TLH, it would be perfect and won't seem cluttered IMO...

    Sweet.
I liked Scarecrow in the first one, though did wish for a more traditional costume for him.

I <3 Cillian Murphy. He excels at being a creepy son of a bitch.

Isn't there also a rumor of Philip Seymour Hoffman playing Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepott? (AKA The Penguin)

He and Bob Hoskins were rumored to potentially play the penguin about a year ago. I haven't heard anything about that more recent then that, though.

    Horrible news.

Check out the number of characters (and resulting plot lines) there will be.

What's so horrible? Again, if you've read "The Long Halloween" and they stick somewhat closely to it, there's nothing to be worried about ;)

Lots of plotlines and lots of characters = too much going on.

Think in terms of Batman Forever, SM 3 or POTC 2 & 3 to name just a few.

    Again, horrible news.
