Well, it's been a while since my last custom. I have a bunch of stuff in progress including a leader class sized Cosmos, but unfortunately, I've become allergic to super glue. It really and truly is dibilitating.

Anyhow, I got the idea to do this guy when my friend gave me a Metroplex for Christmas. It was missing all of it's pieces, but I had previously picked up a majority of them over the summer at a fleamarket. Scamper wasn't included in the parts so I though about making my own. Spychangers were considered until I realized that Scamper was fairly large(about the size of a combiner limb).

Noticing some similarites between Scamper and Clocker, chose him as my base. Though too large to purposefully interact with Metroplex, I think it works very well as an updated version.

The roof and side windows were made from stryrene and the visor was sculpted on to try and differentiate it from Clocker.

He was then sprayed with Krylon Fusion black, then drybrushed with Citadel Blood Red, Chainmail, and Boltgun Metal.

It looks I missed some spots with the base coat on the inner legs, I might have to go back I touch that up at some point.

    Any comments/criticisms are welcome.

Well, he wasn't totally autonomous, for he had a personality in the cartoon (though he didn't show up much).

Can we see some robot mode photos? Everything you've done looks really good! I think I'd suggest sanding down the windshield paint as it's a bit thick. Aside from that it looks nice. I'd like to say that your photos look really nice :thumb

Excellent work. This figure is a very fun one to repaint, isn't it? :]

I painted one up to look like G2 Windcharger sometime ago

    SCAMPER!!

Nice call. Clocker does have a decent resemblance, especially with his weapon attached (though it's true a Spychanger probably would have reflected the transformation and simplicity of the original figure more accurately). Nice to see this obscure character get a kitbash!

Heh... actually "autonomous" means independent or sentient, so he had it right the first time. ;)
