holy crap! i just got this little guy and i haven't had him out of the box 3 minutes before all the little clear plastic pieces have fallen off! is there anything that can be done to fix these? (i searched the radicon section and came up with nothing.) those little arms wont even stay on when i leave him alone and the Antenna might as well not exist!
so funny because this is the very first TF I've bought from Kmart. on my way out the door, i thought to my self, "keep the receipt, you know it's broken!". lol... i know Kmart has nothing to do with it, but it does... it just does. the sucky part is this is the only place i've ever seen him so far in my town... grrr....
these are loose as heck. the left elbow join is malformed. the socket wont fit into it correctly. the antenna socket in the head is too wide. oh well. ya lose some and ya lose some more! he was a quick buy since I've never seen him. once i finally got him into microscope mode, he wasn't all that anyway. probably wont get him again.
I hear of this a lot, but I have not gotten my hands on a Scalpel yet, so I do not know. I can say that this is a quality issue. My Deluxe BB has a cool car mode, but crap robot mode. You can't even touch him without having him bend over at his chest. But all BB's are like that, so, I kept him. You should write a letter and Email it to Hasbro.
Return it and get a new one; sounds like you just got a bad copy of the toy. I own two Scalpels and haven't had any problems with them. One of my co-workers also picked up a copy of the toy recently and hasn't had any problems with it either.
just don't send it to hasbro, they'll just say they will replace it and send you garbage in return WORSE MISTAKE EVER is to send it to hasbro, or even email them about it
The little arms on mine come of without much force to be honest. However, they're easy enough to pop back on. I do love this toy. Even if he came oddly mistransformed in the packaging and thus confused the hell out of me.
the antennae will come out and are very easy to lose. The figure in general has a lot of parts that are designed to pop off, but that's probably necessary in this type of a design.
mine were like that. I literally touched them and they fell off. i glued mine but it doesn't transform... its fine though, just a display piece
the ball joint on one of his legs was cracked right out of the package, so his leg keeps falling off. Probably going to get another one and return the broken one...
I saw him for the 1st time ever today at Toys R Us, but I couldnt get him because, I wanted HA BB so bad, so I got him and didnt have any more money
Today's experience reminded me to come add to this thread. Was pleased to find Scalpel had made it to Tescos here and grabbed me one. Got it home and opened the card only for three of the legs to fall out. On close inspection all the leg joint sockets were cracked and one fell into two pieces when I tried to plug a leg back in. I knew there was still one on the shelf in the shop so I nipped back quick and got an exchange. I opened this one in my car before leaving the store carpark just in case I had to make a second return trip. Once again the same leg problems were there. But that wasn't all. There was also a small piece of masking tape stuck around part of the torso block. I decided to peel it back and found the pin had been driven in wrong and it had split the inside plastic. Boggles my mind they decided to try and patch it with tape at the factory and still package it for sale. Went back into the store and since they didn't have another Scalpel I got Dead End instead. I do still want Scalpel as he looks quirky. Hopefully the problems I had were due to maybe the packs being crushed a bit as the way the legs are in the bubble looks like any great weight on them would split the leg sockets. I might try a different store and see if they have a better batch.
