Awesome, it gives you a nice idea of blackout's size and why starscream had that robot mode design (to make him shorter)

Funnily, this makes the Legends Autobots more or less in scale with Voyager Blackout.

That's pretty cool - it makes you realise how big some of those machines are (and how small Arcee is going to be in the sequel!), not to mention how out-of-scale the toys are...

I wonder where the user got those side-view shots of Jazz and the others, they look to be pretty clear photos.

He's probably similar in size, if not slightly larger than Starscream. If Jazz can fit in his hands, then he'd have to be.

Until the Movie, Transformers fiction and toys always made jets far too small compared to their real-life sizes, just for the purposes of practicality.

imagine if everything was in scale
combiners for the most part wouldn't work(especially bruticus), and in theory we'd have unicron and primus toys the size of continents

Hence why everyone wants a Leader Blackout/Starscream/Bonecrusher/all of the above.

Since two of them are dead, only Starscream's got a shot. If he gets it, it's gonna be awesome :bay

    "Should" based on what exactly?

According to Wikipedia, a fifth generation Ford Mustang (which the Saleen S281 is based on) has a length of 15.63 feet (4.76 meters), an M1 Abrams tank has a hull length of 26.02 feet (7.93 meters), and a Buffalo MPCV has a length of 27 feet (8.2 meters). So despite what you think the size "should" be, it is right.

    So wait.

    Megatron = Optimus

    Starscream > Optimus

    Starscream > Megatron?

Yup. Though Megs and SS appeared pretty close in size while in bot form.

Guess why they never showed Megs and Starscream directly side by side.

True, that doesn't make sense. Blackout is meant to be the largest Decepticon - and I believe Megatron was meant to be the second largest. If I recall, one of the reasons they made Prime a long-nose truck was so that he would have enough mass to be as tall as Megatron in robot mode - if that's the case, Megatron couldn't be that much bigger than Prime, which would make him nearly half the size of Starscream, right?

    here's an approximation:

No matter how you look at it, there's a disparity between Prime, Megs and Starscream. If Optimus and Megatron can stand nearly shoulder-to-shoulder with each other in bot mode, that makes Starscream one hell of a huge robot (in which case I don't understand why he doesn't just crush Megatron and take over like he wants to). Not only that, but in the scene where he fights Ironhide and Ratchet, he looks to be no more than twice as tall as they are - when in reality he would dwarf the poor Autobots with his immense size.

When Michael Bay gave the height measurements of the Transformers (source), he said that Prime was 28 feet and Megatron was 34 feet tall. In this shot, Prime is about as long as Megatron's jet mode, which would make Megatron pretty small when compared to Starscream (who would be around, what, 60+ feet in jet mode?)

So neither the movie toys nor the movie models are correctly in scale with one another... I guess this makes the toys movie-accurate then, right? ;P

The Megatron Prime was a size inconsistency. Megatron was always planned to be larger than Prime, so he could've the appereance of a fierce monster, but in many scenes he is only slighlty taller than Prime. The same happens in the scene where Starscream fights Ironhide and Ratchet.

This is why Megatron couldn't be a tank in the movie, he would be even smaller in bot mode then and SS could easily crush him.
