I've seen a few threads out there and there are likely more about it, but I was wondering the relative scale of all the G1 big bots to each other, namely:

    Metroplex
    Trypticon
Omega Supreme and the Guardian Robots
    Fortress Maximus
    Scorponok
    Gestalts
    *Devastator
    *Bruticus
    *Superion
    *Defensor
    *Predaking, et al.
    Primus
    Unicron

    Toys (according to cliffbee.com)

    Metroplex:
    City Mode = Height: 22cm Length: 32cm Width: 42cm
Rolling Fortress Mode = Height: 17cm Width: 23cm Length: 32cm
    Robot Mode = Height: 28cm Width: 52cm

    Trypticon:
    City Mode = Height: 28cm Width: 58cm Depth: 44cm
Battle Station Mode = Height: 16cm Width: 52cm Depth: 39cm
Robot (Dinosaur) Mode = Height: 29cm Length: 38cm (horn to tail) Width: 15cm

    Fortress Maximus:
    City Mode = Height: 30cm Length: 55cm Width: 42cm
    Robot mode = Height: 54.5cm Width: 35cm

    Scorponok:
Scorpion mode = Height: 21cm Length: 45cm Width: 26cm (Exact dimensions depend on what you do with the pincers and tail)
    City mode = Height: 23cm Width: 59cm Depth: 33cm
    Robot mode = Height: 35cm Width: 30cm

I saw claims of Fort Max being 1016' tall and Metroplex being 700-800, but I'm not 100% sure of those numbers. Some claim Metroplex should be taller, others Fortress Maximus. Just because the toys are different sizes doesn't mean those would be the real-world equivalents.

I measured the towers on FM, and it's 3/8" a floor (from the top of one window up to the top of the next). Making the assumption that they're transformer sized floors, would a height of 60' per floor be reasonable? Or perhaps an 80' heigh ceiling?

Assuming 60' a floor: FM is about 21" tall, divide by 3/8 to get 57 floors tall. At 60', that's 3433' tall.
Forty foot: 2288' tall (jet bots couldn't stand up in FM at this height)

If FM and Scorponok are in-scale to each other, since their Headmasters are compatible, Scorponox would be 2204' or 1469'. Reasonable? And what about Metroplex/Trypticon? I don't have them to compare, so if someone has them lying around...

i haven't done any of the math, but scorponok and cerebros are headmasters with a nebulan head. this implies scorponok to be much smaller than fort max, as the toy shows, and cerebros, fort max's head, to be about the size of a large car. cheat a bit and say cerebros is the size of ultra magnus, a very large semi. scale-wise, that would make metroplex far larger than either, since his head is shown as having a control room that ultra magnus can walk around in easily.

omega supreme, while a personal favorite, is out of scale with himself. a tank bigger than a rocket? maybe if it's a missile and not a vehicle.

    Isn't prime's height about 45'?

Most floors are 10' with the avg male height being 5'7 so the floor would possibly be 60 to 80 based on 30 to 35 foot average for the cars (a number I completely guestimated).

There's a scale thread and my own thread, trying to find out the height of the Autobots and most Decepticons with the assumption of little to no mass-shifting or size-changing.

Most car robots fall between 13' and 20', Prime about 30' (based on Masterpiece's more anime-style body). 40' could work for Autobots, but that would mean Powerglide, Warpath, Aerialbots, etc. wouldn't fit in Metroplex or Fort Max. 60' would let them fit much better.

It's amazing how the G1 "city bots" really weren't that big.

Fort Max's head (Cerebros) has a head (Spike) the size of Scorponok's so Fort Max would be way bigger.

I prefer Fort Max and Scorponok to be normal size, like in the Marvel comics.
