Just wondering how many out there save the boxes and packaging from your Transformers.
I always here that they're more valuable if you have the original packaging.Obviously that's true with the older toys, but I don't think so much with the newer stuff.
I'm always thinking in the back of my head that if I end up selling anything that I should have the original packaging to go with it.So I've got this mountain of boxes that keeps growing in my basement, and am wondering if they're really worth saving.

I only keep the box if its a Takara version of the figure(like my Henkei figures). Although I still have a couple of classic/universe boxes stored. I mostly keep the card that has the tech-specs & BIO. G1s are indeed more valuable if you have its box.

I started saving most of my boxes back when the movie line first started, but nothing before then. Most of my collection was aquired loose anyway, so they never had their boxes to begin with as far as I'm concerned, especially most of my Mini-cons.

I keep boxes of figures I really like. If they're OK or not good, then out with the box!

When you wind up with more TFs than you have space available for display and end up needing to store them, you miss having the boxes. I have found that the original boxes/bubbles are still the best way to protect them for storage or shipping. If you have the space, save the boxes.

I have been trying to do it, but I can't quite bring myself to tossing out my boxes. It is honestly becoming a problem storing them all (Voyager Class and up). I am hoping to one day have a moment like I did with all my CD cases and just toss em. Filled the whole damn garbage can with those things after moving them about 4 times.

only if the box is actually reusable for display or holding the toys, like the japanese box with front and back vacuum formed holders like henkei voyagers or earlier lines. american boxes have been pretty much useless; once you cut the wire ties there's just no way to hold the toys in place for display.

I used to keep a lot of boxes but nowadays i tend to through out Generic Canadian packaging.

I will always keep giant packaging.....atleast the Voyager class and up. had to get rid of ROTF Devastator due to how bad the box's shape was. (Toys fine though :) )

I used to keep the boxes, but just recently I've been clipping out the bios and the packaging art and chucking the rest to save on space. Armada was such a waste of space with those big boxes with so very little actually on them.

I flat pack the boxes anyway though, so it's not like they'd ever be usable. Odds are when I move, I'll take some large plastic boxes, pack everything with bubble wrap, and drive the collection across in the back of the car, or borrow my Dad's van and load them up in there.

I was keeping quite a few boxes for awhile there, but I quickly ran out of room, unfortunately. Since then I've downsized and decided to just keep boxes from "special figures" (i.e. Reissues, Masterpiece, Diamond Select Busts ). For the rest I just keep RoTF's CGI, and Henkei's Manga-esque box art inserts and the various cards that show up from time to time.

I keep the boxes and cards that I like, if they're old or if it includes the characters tech specs.

I have a quite a few boxes I don't really want behind my TV as well though...

i keep anything that has a nice box. G1, G1 Reissues, Masterpiece, Botcon and 3rd party stuff. with the exception of the old g1 cardbacks, basically anything that has to be torn open to get the figure gets trashed
