I needed a Sandstorm for my Wreckers collection and came up with this guy! A little bad@ss hand-to-hand combatant who scouts the way for the Wreckers big boys! Don't let him fool you though, this little guy is packin' alot of heat! Including dual arm blasters, dual hand canons w/targeting lasers on top, and a plasma canon w/ a missile rack on top. Not enough for ya? Well then if he gets in a bad scrape an needs a blaster in a hurry, the exhaust pipes on his legs can detach and serve as Ion blasters! This guy is the NAVY S.E.A.L. of the Wreckers! In & out and completed his mission before anyone ever knew he was there. If you see him, you're dead.

Used a WFC Soundwave, WFC Optimus, some Gen. Scourge pistolas, PE Rewinds arm blasters, missile rack from a Frame Arms kit, and DOTM HA Sandstorm wheels. The paints are Krylon fusion flat black, and citadel paints Macharius solar orange, desert yellow, boltgun metal, mithril silver, shining gold, and scorched metal.

Enjoy Folks! C&C are always welcome!

Alt. mode pics up by Saturday, Really sleepy now:)

This is supremely badass. I would have never thought to use Soundwave as Sandstorm.

Pretty good actually. Picture the normal alt. mode for this mold with the buggy wheels, the raised autobot logo on the front, those custom stacks on the back, and the missile rack/plasma canon on the the top (swivels up/down and left/right).
Should see it late tonight/early Sat. morning!

Thanks man! Yeah, it's a different approach, but I wanted him more in-scale with the rest of my Wreckers, and this mold worked perfectly with what I had in mind.
Just a few more hours bro'! Cheers!
:)  Very appreciated! Thanks! The DOTM HA mold is good, but just too small for me, so I went this route and I'm glad I did.

What a great idea! Not even once had I pictured a Sandstorm from this mold but that just works on so many levels. Nice job Mate! :thumb  & what about the firepower? You can never have enough firepower... :lol

Very nice work. I like that you found a deluxe that fit him so well. I wanted to grab an HA Sandstorm and repaint him, but I never liked that he was so small.

    Thanks SQ7!
Thanks for the kudos! Yeah, I gave him plenty a weapons, but I was initially gonna give him a huge@ss sniper rifle (a modified Gen. Blurr rifle) for a little more kick! Still working on that gun, which might show up on a future Wrecker custom!
    Always appreciated!
Yeah, me too man. I really like the little bugger (no pun intended:) , but his size was just not going to cut it against my other Wreckers. After seeing Shinobitron's repaint of him, I was almost sold that I was going to go that route anyway (should also note that his version was a huge inspiration on the paint scheme and for me to make him as quick as I did), but a few days back I was looking at my fodder lot/e-bay lot I was going to sell off and saw these two (WFC SW&OP) and the idea just clicked!

VERY nice....I almost think you could have squeezed a decent chopper out of this mold too, maybe with a little parts forming. Sadnstorm was a pretty boxy copter and the vehicle mode here more or lends itself to it. Would have been a more Springer-esque look, but your "dune buggy" is already cybertronian here, so why not :)

Even without the third mode though, this looks just great, I love your pant work here very much!

    Ain't it always! Thanks bro'!
Ha! funny you mention the third mode, as I had thought up an idea for it, but sadly decided to ditch it at the last minute. I had a rotor/blades from the new DOTM HA Whirl fig. I was gonna use (attachable via magnet), and a tailfin as well that would've been magnetically attached, but the wheels were the one thing I just couldn't get around in the end. now matter how much you try to maneuver them bad boys, they're still going to stick out like a sore thumb!

Thanks for the love on this one! Cheers bro'!
