Wow. This guy is pure awesome. Very underrated. Any one else think so?
I haven't seen him in person yet but, I have seen Peaugh's video review and some a pictorial review. Based on those I ordered him and Waspinator as soon as they became available again. I think he's full of win and I can't wait to get him!
I just bought him at toysrus.
he looks very cool but yet ta see him around here
I passed on him. He looks neat, but I already have the original Prowl. It's a good enough toy for a character I don't like.
Point of interest as i have mine here on my desk, there are nonfunctional ninja stars, so a quick mod if you have both original and anisami flavor is to steal the stars off original and swap them in. guess they did that to keep the original um...original. I am dissapointed with the helmet articulation (aka none). Also Sami seems to have slighty more flexible plastic in his hands this time around, i cracked a thumb on the orginal when it fell over with the star secured, this time no issues.
But overall this figure is why the line should continue. Amazing engineering.
I bought him and like him, but I'm not extremely impressed. Prowl has always been the best toy for posing with Animated, but the armor pretty much eliminates that. It looks nice but takes away a lot of playability with the toy, IMO.
Since when was the toy underrated?
I went from passing on him to wanting him and now back to passing on him. The armor isn't worth it to double dip for me.
He isn't bad, but like was said earlier, the helmet restricts head movement and the shoulder armor restricts arm movement (and is only good looking from the front). Also, the leg articulation isn't as good as the original.
On the plus side, I do like that the back panels rotate up. Makes for a sleeker-looking regular bot mode.
I don't collect Animated, but I saw him in the store last night. If I did collect, I would definitely want!! He looked cool! I am just now starting to watch the show as I recently got a DVR and I am really trying to fight the urge to buy Animated!! I am trying to cut back to just Encores & Classics.
You gotta at least pick up Shockwave.
dont fight it, take the plastic crack.....TAKE IT! LOL
hello, my name is eric, and um............... im addicted to plastic crack and.........im proud of it!!!!!!! muhhahhhahh
I'm only disappointed that his sidecar's wheel doesn't split into both shield and sword, like in the picture on the back of the card.
As long as you can admit it you are taking the first step to getting more addicted lol..
He is OK. I feel he would have been better if the armor came apart into pieces and attached instead of being a peice you arrange around him.
I have a Samurai Prowl I got from BBTS and sadly he came with a missing light bar. They didn't have any left in stock for a replacement (they hooked me up with store credit though) so I guess I have to wait until he comes to Canada to get a replacement.
i agree, the thigh shields are nice but appear to kindof shild his backside more than the side and if he is posed crouching they don't hang as well......but thats just my 2 cents..............but i still love him............
Hate to hijack the thread......but i have a question.
I just got this guy and am having problems with his armor... how do you make his armor stay in place?, is it held only by the little tabs on top of the armor in his back?.. is there anywhere else where his armor attaches?, or is it only at the top?; am I doing something wrong or missing something?.
Sorry about all the questions, thanks for the replies guys.
