I dunno about that. If all he can afford is a piece of junk, it's a bit of a coincidence that he would pick one with such a similar paintjob.

If he's keeping the transformers out of his life and trying to stay out of trouble, why would he paint his car up like Bumblebee.

And what's more, it looks like a bit of a step down from the vintage Camaro. Wouldn't he be able to afford a better car as a young professional, than as a kid in school?

 

I hope that's Bumblebee's alt-mode throughout the entire movie.

Here's another wacky theory:

within the universe of the film, people are aware of Transformers. This was established in ROTF where they had websites reporting unusual events around the world. Perhaps some guy learned of Bumblebee, painted his car up as Bumblebee, and somehow Sam ends up in it.

 

i just hope when all is said and done its not a confusing plot twist or somthing

becaue it could end up being pretty cool seeing diff alt modes for the cars.

 

heres my guess as to what it is. bumble bee cant drive sam around any more because he needs to be with the autobots. so, to cope with the loss of his personal transforming chauffeur, sam buys a new peace of crap car and paints it just like bumble bee.

 

Perhaps he bought the car because it was painted like Bumblebee.

 

Well, in either of the cases speculated (except time travel, because the Aston Martin, the "museum", and their attire would suggest otherwise), it would appear that they have put a little thought into this movie. Especially considering the earlier reports that the Transformers are now hated, Autobot and Decepticon, by the world and want them to "go home", it would make sense that BB would have to reformat from time to time. Datsun is out there, but it is nice to see the movie branching out from GM a bit.

Plus, with the supposed Stunticons, Prime's Trailer, Russian Space Race, etc., it definitely seems like they are trying to do something with this one.

By the way, What's awesome is that Leo has not been spotted yet. Less time for him, hopefully. However, I'm thinking that Leo and Simmons are paired up in this one, being conspiracy theorists and all, and since they seem to "get along" so well. I speculate they will be the comic relief rather than the robots this time around.

Lennox is also missing from action, as well as that no-name actor who tweeted that he was hired. It is very early in shooting, and they still have tons more places to go, but it is fun piecing this all together.

 

I'm stiking with the 'Sam is trying to impress these people and Bee doesn't like it for some reason so he scans the rusty Datsun' theory.

 

Interesting, if it's not Bumblebee, then (it's a strech) it could be Goldbug. Since the car has similar traits to Bumblebee's first alt mode in the movies.

I'm just happy to see more cars in this movie reguardless of why and how. it's what I wanted from the first two was lots of cars and lots of transformers.

a datsun (which I hope is bumblebee it's nice nod to us old car guys the loved him as a VW Bug)
2 aston martins.
and a rumored purple porsche.

This datsun could be Bumper. 

 

I don't think it's BB hiding from the Decepticons. If you remember, the TF's could sniff out other TF's in vehicle mode (Ironhide's "I can smell him.") So just being another kind of human car might not help that much. Perhaps BB is a shitbox because: (my theories)
-"Sam needs this job. He needs the money, obviously. He can't be driving around in a 2011 Camaro."
-"The humans know what BB looks like, so he'll be in disguise in public."
-BB is trying to be a jerk (unlikely)
-Hasbro wants to be able to sell "shitbox mode BB" in Legend, Deluxe, Voyager, HA, Leader, and Supreme sizes.

I think thats Bumblebee, Im hoping the Ferrari is Hot Rod, and maybe the Aston, and Jag are TF's to hopefully, but I doubt they'd be autobots for some reason........

The Aston Martin and Jaguar are not Transformers. Dempsy can be seen getting out of the Aston Martin when he's apparently stopping to help Sam with his broken down car.
