    Not good????
Activision sold a total of 218,151 units in one week, so on what planet are those figures considered to be "bad"?!

Granted it didn't do Halo 3 numbers but I don't think the first Halo did those type of numbers either so if WFC sales continues w/o a significant decline the following week it will most definitely be gold in a months time and platinum by the Holidays which is when they should be able to turn a profit.

Side note: If Acitvison wasn't so Pro-Microsoft with this game those PS3 numbers could've been much higher! Just think what of the possibilities if they would've given multiplayer on PS3 (which has free online) a bigger push (did they acknowledge PS3 at all?) at E3 or had an actual PS3 demo! But what ever....

I'm surprised at the 360 VS Ps3 sales numbers as I have not seen any copies for Ps3 for sale anywhere as it sold out like gangbusters (at least here in the Toronto area).

The fact they dont list PC can only mean 1 of 2 things.
1)Sales were so bad, so they wont support the game anymore
Or 2)the dont give a damn to mention the sales of the PC version and theyll no longer support the game

Woah! That's a lot of Xbox copies sold.

I still plan to get mine for the DS, you'd think they would of sold more than the wii?

It's a decent, respectable sales number for an untested game in an IP that's got two mediocre games under it's name. Simply put, it's not going to sell COD, Halo, or *insert blockbuster here* levels. To get to that level, you need to be on a sequel to a proven game series and have a massive ad campaign.

We've got good solid reviews, fans talking about it, and decent sales numbers. The game is doing well. Not gangbusters, but well nonetheless. Expecting more is, frankly, asinine.

Considering WFC's short campaign and a considerable emphasis on multiplayer, being slanted towards the 360 isn't a bad business decision*, considering how much more people there are on Xbox Live compared to the Playstation Network, even though you have to pay for it. So, bigger audience.

    (I have a PS3)

*Though the lack of a PS3 demo and coverage was unfair.

I have to say congratulations High Moon. While not perfect, this game is excellent for a first outing. The single player game is fun, and I find the online component fun as all hell.

Here's hoping we get a sequel and they improve on the first.

    interesting perspectives here

some think this is good news others think it's bad

for a niche game, I think this is good.

if considered a flop by the empty suits, I say I'm glad if I'm labeled one of the diehards who support and (gasp) really like the game.

MP could use dedicated servers and frequent in-game random data saves, not to mention more skins....

but as a new gen Transformers game it's the best to date and hopefully there is better to come in the near future

Nice numbers. Not surprised about the XBox 360 & PS3 versions after viewing some footage of the game on YouTube. :popcorn

Too bad either of the consoles are a bit too expensive.

Will just stick with the (non) wi-fi NDS versions.

To be honest, I would've expected a bit higher sales figures than this in the games' first week. But thus far, the game is getting good word of mouth, and again it's only been out for less than two weeks. I hope the game's sales will improve to warrant a sequel. I started playing the game yesterday, and while it's not great as far as gameplay, the attention to detail on the graphics and storyline is really good. G1 fans would have a blast playing this. If you don't buy the game, at least rent it.

What's the source for these figures?

No source is provided. At all.

Oh, wait, they cribbed it all from VGChartz.

    :lolol

Ignore them until the NPD stuff comes through or Activision makes a statement. It's all speculation and bullshit until that point. This thread should be shot in to the sun.

Please, let's not start this insane conspiracy stuff again.

The fact is Sony charges developers by the bandwidth for demos placed on their marketplace.

Transformers is a popular franchise. Generally, fans are going to get it regardless of a demo or not. So, that leaves the non-fans. Now, consider the bandwidth cost they'd get charged by the fans hitting the demo, versus the non-fans picking it the demo.

Not likely enough to warrant putting up a demo at a loss for little return. They had confidence in the project and word of mouth to carry it.

So, no, Microsoft didn't pay for an exclusive demo, it's just the backwards way Sony handles things that resulted in PS3 fans getting the shaft.

Red Dead is made by Rockstar and is similar to GTA which always has huge numbers...

Red Dead is also a much better game.

    JUST SAYIN'.

EDIT: And, for the most important context, RDR had a really good marketing campaing. WFC got shit.
