nice job rumble. My only criticism would be that the paint scheme doesnt' really flow cohesively in the alternate form to look like one single vehicle, and it kinda makes it look like a parts-bot. other than that he looks really nice. might I suggest you take more pictures? show the "turret" rotated at different angles, so people can see that it can move, different angles and poses of all the modes, etc.
Here are the other pics yall wanted. and about tha part where he looks like a parts-bot, thats what he is. he was supposed to be made by Shockwave from varies bodies he found after battle. I honestly wanted this figure to look a little bruised andbatter, and out of place. also a bummer is that his chest plate just wont stay on so i gotta change that some how.I have 20 pics i took so be prepared.
Redline is right, the colors don't lend themselves to a pleasing arrangement in vehicle mode. I have a few suggestions for you, take them for whatever they're worth to you. How about changing the parts I circled in red to match the gold bits, paint the parts you left green maybe to match the red, and I think the blue joints need to be a different color, either the same red or black maybe, just something darker. The blue joints work for the robot mode, but look out of place in vehicle mode. Also, how about changing those "claws" on Sinner's legs to gold? The outside of the rear gold part there isn't seen in either of the robot modes right? Why not make that red as well to match with the other end better? I can make a photoshop edit with these ideas if you'd like.
yeah digibash it. but to be honest i seriously doubt I will do any more to this figure, he was my first and im ok with the imperfections, although now i know how to do it differently. and a buddy showed me how to take out pins so i can full disassemble my next one.
Hmm well dude im a big fan of those weapons, and i know its hard for you to try to work on this again, but just give it a try to do a repaint. Not even a repaint, a few touchups
It never hurts to go back and fix mistakes and make touch-ups. Why settle for mediocre when he could look fantastic?
Well yea dude, youve gotten this far i really doubt that you can make that paint look bad. No offense, but from what youve done since you first started up to now i really think you could pull of those little details quite well dude. Whats a little trying and a few willingness gonna do other than fix up youre toy and make it lookg GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT haha Edit: Credit to that quote is giving to Tony the Tiger, official spokesperson for Kellogs Frosted Flakes! I dont want to get sued now =P
so are yall wanting me to do what ktulu says on it and fix up the white legs(and if soo to what color) just how much touching up do yall think i should do?
Hm i votee to definately do the touch ups, specially on the places that havent been very detailed painted. Well good luck dude, i hope to see those touch ups soon
It's nice, Saint's legs are allitle too long and Sinner's arms look a little nubby. Also, too many un-painted parts, reminds me of a robo-frankenstien. (In a good way!) Overall
Dude. That's so cool. Yeah, getting a unified color scheme will do wonders. Sure it looks kinda like a jumble of parts, but A) that's what you were going for and B) You've still created a brand new, totally unique transformer with TWO FREAKIN' BOT MODES. That's an accomplishment.
Sorry to be a downer man, I think you did good work for your first try. I'm just picky as HELL about paint schemes. I'll get some photoshopped pictures of my ideas posted in the thread tomorrow and you can see if you want to bother with any of them or not. I really hate to seem like I'm nitpicking though, so if you want to leave it alone, it's YOUR project, and I can respect that completely.
I totally agree, i mean i would like to see the paint because i know it would look so kick ass but its kick ass as it is, since like its been previously stated it has 2 bot modes! Anyways, it will just come down to you but yea dude if you want to keep it as is then its still kool =P
