Mother's Cookies abruptly shut down
I remember eating those when I was a kid.
That's quite a shame. I really enjoyed Circus Animal cookies as a kid.
That's a shame.
guess I'll have to get a few bags and boxes when I stop by the store on my way home... Then a colt 45 to poor out for my cracker homies.
Bummer. There probably aren't a lot of people who can say they don't remember Mother's cookies.
I used to bite the heads off when I was a kid.
i loved the frosted ones.. that sucks
Looked and didn't see any Circus ones. Saw Barnum & Bailey bag, some Stoufers and some keebler ones. But no Mother's.
this scks! i loved them as a kid hell i still do...um did
I used to buy the economy bags of these suckers back in school. Animal Crackers got me through Graduate studies!
Did they ever go stale?
I used to keep a bag in my room to munch on from time to time. They never tasted stale to me.
I also know a few people who are obsessed with these. A sad day for them.
I did too, they never did go stale...
Of course I liked dipping the frosted ones in milk and then sucking on them till they turned into mush hehe
Then I would lawl and call them brain food..
Bah...they'll be back... just you wait and see.
So we suddenly lose Mother's and Archways? And life at the fatcat Connecticut company that owned them goes on while hundreds are put out of work. Thanks you greedy bastards.
I get the feeling that any businesses that will survive this depression will stop looking at profitability and start looking at 'keeping what we have' survivability. Alas, that will probably be very few.
Damn that sucks. They are or were sum great cookies. But I felt jipped the Camels tasted just like the Elephants. That's messed up.
Doesn't Nabisco have the Barnum and Bailey Animal Crackers?
So there's still that option.
Oh yeah!! Those are superior IMO
