    After watching the video, tell my what you thought was the saddest Autobot death.

    I'm not really touchy when it comes to Autobots but for me it's the arcee sisters and Ratchet. Ratchet wasn't even doing anything wrong, he was just hiding. And the arcee sisters I thought were a sad death because I just didn't like to see fembots die. Their frail, thin bodies being blown into tiny pieces when they try to fight back.

    Ironhide still gets the top nod for me. A truly tragic way to go out.

    While Ratchet had the most brutal death, the saddest had to be Ironhide. There was no mourning or acknowledgement after his death. Ratchet, Prime, Jazz, Que and Leadfoot all had some small form. Not 1 word for Ironhide.

    Jazz - While I understood that ripping someone in half is fatal, what I didn't like (leading to my 2nd entry) is how he was left to die and not repaired by a supposed Autobot Medic, especially since, ya know, Jazz is a robot. . . I love how "Robot Chicken" parodied this . . .

    Ratchet - Mercilessly fired upon by CW, then had his spark brutally extracted by Lockdown, and never once were we ever shown proof of his Autobot medic abilities; (sorry, but shooting Bumblebee's mouthplate with a laser DOES NOT count) . . ,

    Arcee- One of several examples of blatant disregard for Female characters, literally killing her in the middle of a spoken word. . .;

    Ironhide - Seeing that acid blast eating through him reducing him to liquid metal in seconds;

    Que - The way he was pleading with Soundwave before his demise; also didn't like his face design, because Einstein was not an inventor, but a theorist.

    Gonna go with Ratchet just because of how brutal it was. Like, jesus, Optimus had every reason to want to 'tear them apart' for what they did to him.

    Jazz is my pick, one of the greatest Autobots gets ripped in two and is never seen or heard of in the Movie-verse again :(

    Ironhide and Ratchet got some awful, brutal deaths. Ironhide wasn't even grieved, which is probably one of the worst ways to go out.

    My vote for saddest is probably Wheeljack, however. Ratchet was actually heroic in his final moments and Ironhide was not expecting his death at all, but Wheeljack begged and tried to reason with his captors in the moments before his death. They have him just enough time to look at the new hole in his chest before killing him. His last words were trying to reason with those who just wouldn't listen. Wheeljack had the saddest going out of them all.

    Ratchet was defintely the best handled, but for me Ratchet is a character that i seem to automatically consider all incarnations as one, so to me it was like watching G1 (again!), Animated, Prime, and MV all get slaughtered! Does anyone know what i mean?! :lol

    None of the other deaths carried much weight, Ironhide was surprising, but they managed to drain all emotion out of it. Bumblebee getting captured by S7 was much sadder than any of the actual deaths!

    No not at all, that thread says most brutal Autobot death while mine is the saddest. And also mine doesn't have a poll and in that poll were quite a few deaths left out. Read the thread before you try to call it a duplicate thread.

    Not really considering even male characters got the same treatment. I'm not saying that I'm not mad about her death since it annoyed me they tossed away a character that could have been developed. But her death isn't a blatant disregard for female characters when clearly there were a disregard for male characters as well. It's just a case of poor character writing in general, gender has nothing to do with it. Though I don't want to turn this into a gender debate so this will be my only comment on the subject.

    Anyways back on topic I would have to say the saddest Autobot death for me was Ironhide's. Like I stated in the Decepticon topic, sadness is basically determined by attachment. Which in concerns of Ironhide, I had indeed formed an attachment to him. After seeing the first and second film, I had grown to like Ironhide. He was tough, had some funny moments, but a reliable ally. I couldn't help but grow fond of him; so when I saw his death in ROTF, I was horrified and heartbroken. I had seen other characters die but they had no effect due to my lack of attachment (not really counting my first reaction to Optimus' death), so when I witnessed Ironhide die, it left a huge impact on me. In fact my entire family was saddened by the notion that a character that had got a decent amount of character development, giving us a chance to like him, ended up getting killed off. It was saddening even more that basically it was a cowardly shot done by Sentinel, taking the shot when Ironhide had his guard down and his back turned.

    To me the most brutal death of an Autobot was Jazz. The way Megatron tore him in half.
