Can you fit figures on those shelves back to back? Because doing that would be allow you to see a collection from both sides of the room. Also, Autobots on right, Decepticons on left, any left over on bottom four shelves. Save the middle on for larger figures.

If you have a Unicron and don't care about drilling, have it floating high center. Maybe have other figures floating. I'd leave that center top empty though. You have that huge open space and having figures take up that top will leave alot of empty space as seen in your pic. So having that top free of figures, you can put stuff there for easier access from the kitchen instead of having to go around. Putting a few figures there would be alright. Like that SDCC Cliffjumper box, have the back flat up against one if the center's sides (Preferably the left side in pic).

IDK, its your display. Do what you will.

I suggest going down to Home Depot, getting a few more boards. They sell them in the dark brown color. Build something that can fit in the big open space that gives you more shelves. Since you are building it your self, you can decide how big the spaces are going to be.

I think you should paint and detail it like the inside of the Ark. Your landlord may not appreciate it but that's what security deposits are for, right?

So.... are you going to dive into that pile of Transformers and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck does in his giant vault of gold coins? XD Cool shelves!

And a major selling point for my current apartment are the built in shelves about the computer desk already in place (see my sig =D). I'll have to rethink my display when the missus and I buy our first house next year though.
