Did anybody hear about that Russian analogue of Half-Life 2?
It's nothing like Half-Life 2. It's more like Oblivion, with guns.
Except unlike Oblivion it's actually a decent game.
So should I waste my money on it? Btw when did it come out?
It's not in any way a typical FPS, it's hard as hell, pretty much the entire game world will kill you quickly if you aren't paying attention and it is most certainly not a "guns blazing" style game.
However; if you like to use your brain, be seeped in incredible atmosphere then it could be for you.
Im thinking about this game. From what Im reading, its kinda reminding me of FarCry (open ended FPS with fun AI) and Oblivion (the RPG elements)? Is it anything like that?
Also, for those of you with the game, what specs are you running it on? Right now, my computer is an older AGP system with a 3.2ghz P4, 1 gig of ram, and 9800xt, running XP. But in afew weeks, I may be getting another system in my house with a core 2 duo processor, Vista, and a 8800 series card.... So basically, has anyone played the game with a lower end system, or with Windows Vista? How was the experience?
I'm playing it with XP, core 2 duo 2.13 something something with 2gb of RAM... it plays fine, mostly, but I'm a crap shot and run out of ammo too quickly and have some bizarre graphical effect with rain hitting me or the surrounds and turning into a rain-textured plane that arcs across my screen. So after playing it for my first 2 hours, I gave up for the last week and a half. Was thinking of giving it another go today, but the whole rain thing is annoying.
Also, I already think Oblivion is a better game.
