We've nothing new to announce yet (and this kit is taking up my full thought processes at the minute), but yep, they're still on the roster.

    EDIT TO ADD:
To clarify, the silver one (the Pax Tyrannis kit) definitely is, we haven't finalised the Armada version yet, but I'd like to make it happen.

Excellent news. I continue to wait patiently. Although I may start posting pics of BC Prime in this thread in different "waiting patiently" positions

Speaking for myself, if these engineering challenges are mostly regarding the combined mode, that's a mode I'm willing to forego in favour of a strong individual mode.

Just putting it out there in case it makes your life a little easier, and may affect some design decisions that may involve any sort of trade-off. Also, will SND be doing anything to address any of the paint flaking issues with this release?

    Combined modes. Plural. ;)

Nah, to be honest, it was more a case of a few final touches to make sure all the joints are sturdy enough to keep the wings posed properly without going all saggy.

Regarding the paint, I don't deal with any of the quality control side of things, but I know the torso covers for this kit are vastly different to those on Prime (no chest windows, f'r'instance). So by the very nature of Nova's design, there's not as much paint on the chest.

God I'm still so hyped for this. With the Vitalis, how were the sales for the non-Optimus colors? I hope the black one sold well enough to still justify doing the IDW Nemesis colors for this kit. I have Power Core Prime and Grand Scourge both awaiting their wings.

Are we talking combined torso and vehicle modes, or is there something going on there that's even more crazy? Am I gonna have to wait and see? Why can't I learn patience now?

Previously, I believe John alluded to two different torso modes - it kind of sounded like one with the wings as wings and one with the wings folded in to make a different chest/profile. Of course, I might have misunderstood what he was trying to describe

Yep, you are remembering my less than subtle allusion correctly. :p

We're not ready to show it off, yet, but yes, it even filters down to the configuration of the weapons (which we have shown off, even if only briefly), so that there's three configurations for the blades.

One of them is for robot mode, natch, but that leaves two separate configurations left over, and - and bear in mind I don't want to spoil the surprise, here :p  - those two configurations are meant to be used with a separate and specific mode each.

Basically? You'll have to wait and see what I'm blathering on about, but I wanted each of the modes I'm alluding to tell a story about the character, and about the mode itself.

All will make sense, in time... ;)

That sounds super interesting. Could you please just tell me if I should buy a second BC Prime now because I'll want this kit 2X to display in multiple modes?

Are you implying I'm a sneaky fecker, not to mention a shocking tease...? :p

Given that the new POTP deluxes have combiner pegs, thus neatly rejuvenating toys from two lines ago... maybe. :p

All I can say for certain is that I definitely want to make every mode look as kick-ass as possible, by my standards, and I have very high standards when it comes to how toys look (which SND always manage to exceed, which is part of why I love working with them).

Speaking of POTP, though... holy crap, do I ever want to add some of that new hotness to my CW shelf! And by new hotness, I mean OMFG LITTLE DIDDY SKULLGRIN AHHHHHHH-AHHHHHHH-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I love the fact he's essentially a powermaster, AND a proper pretender, AND technically a targetmaster (or would be if he had cannons, not blades), AND a replacement combiner hand with big claws.

Now imagine if we could work that kind of versatility into, oooh, I dunno, say, Nova's wings... -innocent whistle-

With news of a combiner Jazz, I wonder how hard it would be to make 4 Jazz toys into Auto-Troopers for limbs.
