I know the designer said that this won't fit on the Motormaster mold because it's different shape, but I have to wonder if there is any way to get around that. Like perhaps making a toy that's made of pieces of Motormaster and Battle Core Optimus prime pieced together, then attaching the add-on kit. It's currently over $100 to get Grand Scourge, and I need 2 of them for his kits!

 

So I need a Scourge for this kit right? They should not have named every one of these kids Primo. Its so confusing. I can't tell which is which

 

Hmm, that would probably work, aye. The specific bits you'd have to use from BC Optimus are the upper torso/sleeper cab, and the shoulders, since those are the two sets of parts that differ between the two moulds. It'd be interesting to see how well that works, certainly.  

Just to clarify one thing, as well, that I mentioned in the Pax Tyrannis thread (and I replied on Facebook, just doing the same here, so everyone else can see it): it's the Optimus-shaped kits (Vitalis, Prafectus and Nemein) that are the test shot phase. The versions with wings (X-Mortis, Necrosis and Deitas) aren't quite up to that point yet.

Sorry about that, I wasn't entirely clear in that post, so my bad! I was being excessively British when I said they're getting there.

These are the figures used with each kit (basically, there's 2 red, 2 white, and 2 black):

Vitalis: CW Prime
Prafectus: Battle Core Optimus
Nemein: Grand Scourge
X-Mortis: Battle Core Optimus
Necrosis: Grand Scourge
Deitas: CW Prime

 

I'll have to try it because I can make a hybrid Motormaster/Battle Core for $40-50.

 

Here is a list, leaving out the word Primo, and saying which color truck you should use with it:

Optimus Prime recolors:
Optimus Prime - Vitalis - red truck
Ultra Magnus - Prafectus - white truck
Nemesis Prime - Nemein - black truck

Nova Prime recolors:
White Nova Pime - X-Mortis - white truck
Black Nova Prime - Necrosis - black truck

Others:
God Ginrai - Deitas - red truck

 

Thinking about it, the forearms are different between the two moulds as well, so basically, everything from the waist up needs to be from Prime.

I'm actually tempted to the do the same with mine, when I get the X-Mortis kit, to give Nova completely black thighs.  

 

So I should be safe putting Motormaster's legs on Battle Core, then putting one of your kits on it?

Also, when you say the Optimus Prime ones are in test show phase, does that include Nemein, or are they only making Prafectus and Vitalis in the first run?

 

Yup. As far as I can tell, everything below the waist is 100% identical across both versions of the figure.

As far as I know, those first three should be arriving together. If that changes, I'll try to keep people updated.

In the primo vitalis thread someone put pictures up of that kit on motormaster minus the shoulder pieces, I think he said it mostly worked

I wonder how this will look on red Optimus. I suppose it could give a 'fallen angel' impression. 'We know who he was, but look at him now'.
