I just got a S-2 Moon White version MiSB for $65. I know that must have been a good deal, but how good? What's the story on that figure anyway? It comes in a plain white box, so it looks like a lucky draw. But it can't be that rare, can it? Someone must have outbid me if it really was that rare... Was it a mailaway, or what?

I know of the existance of the White Moon, but I think you're one of the first fans I know to actually own one. Great job, I always felt the white looked nicer on him than the yellow.

I think you got a good deal for any Japanese mail-in figure.

Hmm email mail in contest. I guess that's confirmation that it is a lucky draw figure. But how rare is it? It must at least have been produced in hundreds, there's no way it would end at such a low bid otherwise.

I think it's really rare. So rare, noone knew about it. Thus resulting in the low bid.

Ant stated that he only includes "realisticly available" toys on his site, i.e. no lucky draw grand prize limited to 15 pieces worldwide and similar things.

Okay... This may sound stupid, but I guess it goes on ebay, then. I'm into completeness and strict collecting. My #1 rule is that I only collect things that were released in Japan and had a suggested retail price - which means no prize items or promotional items.

Now that I actually have a prize item, I'm not so sure anymore...

What do you guys it would fetch on ebay? Are any of you crazy enough to pay big money for it?

White Moon was actually my 1st LD type figure. My understanding is that it IS really rare, but not nearly as desirable as other exclusives so it tends to go fairly cheap. I actually paid slightly less for mine.

I'd bet you could easily get $100 on ebay.

Just for the record, I knew about the white moon.

I have one of those. Picked it up from a dealer back when Botcon was run by 3H. It's a nice toy and the colors are better than the Yellow version.

It is a very rare toy just by how many people don't know it even exists. That said, it's a Moon. You'd have to be one of the biggest fans in the world of BW2 to even want it. (or a TF compleatest like me.) :D

Good find, and I agree, much better than the yellow. It pops up on Yahoo Japan fairly regularly, so there's most likely plenty of them out there if you're willing to look. I got one a couple of years ago.

Nah, it's Moon. That's just the same five figures bouncing back and forth between collectors. :p
