Ryan Church - TRANSFORMERS3
Wish we'd gotten a better look at that "driller control pod" in the film.
Incredible stuff. I really wish we somehow got a look inside Shockwave's driving seat in the Driller in the movie, or even got a sense it was a sort of vehicle as opposed to something he just sort of sprouted from.
Fantastic work! Sentinel is sooo the Space Jockey on the Ark
That is amazing work. It's just a shame, and this is not to troll anybody, that so little of it is of objects that transform. Love his sense of scale though and the cold rhythms in the Driller machine. You can almost hear it rattling past.
neat stuff. i think i prefer his decepticon ship design to what we saw in the movie.
Cool. I like the concepts of Shockwave inside the Cockpit on the Driller.
Going by the rest of the work, I take it Ryan Church is primarily a set/sequence designer and not as much a character designer. Though there's also a lot of vehicles in there, too.
The stuff he did for other movies is equally breath-taking, if not even more so.
I'm guessing this was before Sentinel Prime turned out to be the main villain.
I like the ship concepts. Those look really cool. And seeing Shockwave inside the Driller looks incredible.
And now, Caption Time!
-LIKE A BOSS.
-THEY SEE ME ROLLIN'
-HATERS GONNA HATE
-Giddy-up, little doggy.
Take your pick.
Shockwave, you lucky bastard. That thing would be a blast to pilot.
As TFA Prowl would say, fascinating! That Driller concept would have certainly took a new level to the role of war chariot!
Driller is a sleigh dog.
The ships above the skyscraper could have been sweet on IMAX. I don't really like the way Shockwave rides the driller like some kind of pony, thank goodness it wasn't approved.
Can't wait for robot concept art, like that Styrker bot,Soundwave, Dreads and protoforms.
So is the Driller a animal of sorts or a vehicle? It has a freaking cockpit!
Shockwave piloting the Driller looks bad ass. Sucks the concept tends to be cooler than what we see in the actual film.
Damn! I would have loved to see some of this in film. I would have liked to see him be more of a scientist or engineer. Those shots of him in the cockpit of the driller beast would have been a nice touch. Make the character more ominous.
Love Shockwave in his Driller-mobile.
Not that the art isn't cool, but why go to the trouble of making art concepts for a character that had less then a minute of screen time?
HOW many Transformers have cockpits again?
1) He had more than a minute. Much more if you count Shockwave himself.
2) How EXACTLY do you think these massively complex CG things get made, anyway?
Separate names with a comma.
