    That looks great! Just discovered this mold last night, and I love it. You really did a great job with the weathering.

    I fond memories of 'Batteries Not Included' so this is like a great crossover for me.

    I like it. Rusty paint jobs are so much fun. If you ever get into airbrushing or spray painting, you can get some really great effects with salt masking. It gives that speckled rust look that's really hard to paint. I can find you some links if you like.

    Here you go. I learned a lot from YouTube videos like these

    Salt Weathering Techniques
    Personally, I've had more luck with salt masking than the hairspray chipping, but both of these videos have a lot of good stuff. They'll also drop you into a nice YouTube hole of weathering videos. :) 
    For your base rust coat, you can get rust colored primer at hardware stores. It's good to use enamel under acrylic, because it needs to stand up to the process.
