well, in the Wing fiction Lyzack is a (somewhat) strong independant character.
Im ok with the idea of the "Decepticon Families" if we get some interesting new characters out of it. suck as Esmeral and Lyzack, or maybe some Minicons based on the Dinoforce's kids.

 

Tidal Wave from Broadside seems the most likely.

IMO it's easy to figure out who some rumored names will be repaints of:

Deathsaurus = Twinferno
Blood = Mindwipe
Carnivac = Wolfwire
Tidal wave = Broadside

 

I just noticed that God bomber was on the list in the original post and he's coming true.

 

Takara's Godbomber is a completely different toy to the rumoured Hasbro one.

Hasbro's is supposedly a Deluxe (as opposed to Takara's vaguely Leader-ish one), named Iron Apex, and exclusive to a boxset with several other figures.

 

I know Tidal Wave is happening, but i hope the other three wont.

The original post w/figure rumors is obviously from Asia. With that in mind, it's probably referring to Takara figures released in China and Japan.

It also specifically uses the word "God Bomber". Which if what you're saying is true, then it has to be referring to the Takara version because "Iron Apex" would be a completely different name on the list.

 

They probably want to use the Wolfwire and Mindwipe molds more than once before they heavily retool them.

There are only so many things that you can create with a wolf and a bat. Blood and Carnivac would be perfect.

Likely just the case that whoever made it was looking at a list/images of upcoming figures and wrote down their "real names" rather than whatever the figure would actually be released as.

 

The part that throws me the most about the boxsets list is Quickswitch. I thought we were expecting a leader retool?

 

Yup, as part of a boxset. The two sets are supposedly:

- Leader Quickswitch (Six Shot retool), Voyager Optimus Prime (maybe with the alternate Star Convoy head?), Deluxe Fastlane, Deluxe Nautica (Blurr retool), and Titan Master Thunderclap
- Leader Magnus Prime (blue PMOP redeco), Voyager Tidal Wave (Broadside retool), Deluxe Iron Apex, Deluxe Pounce, and Titan Master ???

It seems the boxsets will follow the same pattern as the Autobot heroes set.
1 leader, 1 voyager, 2-3 deluxes.
So it could wind up like this

Box 1.
Quickswitch(leader)
Tidalwave(voyager)
Fastlane(deluxe)
Pounce(deluxe)
Nautica(deluxe)

Box 2.
Magnus Prime(leader)
Godbomber(voyager-ultra?)
Cloudraker(deluxe)
Wingspan(deluxe)

If they use Takara's Godbomber, which I thibk they will because the initial reports for "Iron Apex" were a deluxe but also just had a placeholder image of G1 GB.
That would essentially take the place of another deluxe and even out the box, plus Apex would be presumably able to combine with Magnus Prime(who is in the same box.) There are also some additional Titanmasters rumored to be in the boxes.

I also honestly have to wonder if this Magnus Prime just uses the Ginrai mold with a new head. It wouldn't be the first time Hasbro has brought over a retooled mold for a different character, like Magnus.

I think that Optimus may have been scrapped, we found computer listings flr a Titanmaster class Optimus Prime a while ago and I bet it comes with the Star Convoy head.

Deathsaurus is rumored to be a Leader class mold actually so I doubt Twinferno will be retooled into Deathsaurus. RID01/Car robots Megatron/Gigatron on the other hand I can see them retooling the Twinferno mold into.

 

Twinferno will be Fangry, look at the fur detail on the leg.

It may well end up being both Pounce & Wingspan with different retools.

 

Hasbro had said before that a titan master prime was in the works as a solo release as the star convoy head. And since this boxset list came after that's long been known. I don't think it'll impact the set at all. Box sets do often have mixed single card releases and mold reuses anyway. That's if they even use that one for it. They might lean on a more Magnus type Titan Master for it too. Or it could be the normal Magnus colored repaint we've come to expect since G1.

 

I think Twinferno would make a great Fangry,
Mindwipe could make a good Swoop,
Weirdwolf could be retooled into Horri-Bull
all of wich would be more fitting in this line.
Offcourse they could do what you suggested as Krok seems to be a straight Skullcruncher repaint.

 

Sorry to bump this up- but wht do we think of these rumors now?

 

Still a wave or two left before Titans Returns finishes in fall 2017. Expecting Apeface and Snapdragon to be the next wave after Octane & Blitzwing since they're both reuses I have high hopes that Horrorcons got a decent budget.

 

The whole top section of the list has basically been ticked off now, hasn't it?
