Misfire as Triggerhappy is crazy when that G1 pic looks like a dead-ringer for Topspin. But then we've seen weirder retools (Rook -> Hound).

It reminds me of CW Computron where they used the Dead End mold even though CW Wheeljack looks like he was intended as a Lightspeed pretool.

But G1 Misfire's alt mode was full of kibble. In order for it to actually transform, the legs had to go on the back of the jet/fighter.

My point is that it should be accurate to the art, not the toy.

Plus, Mtmte Misfire is not G1 misfire.

Topspin's knees face forward in jet mode.

TR Triggerhappy's feet do, just like Misfire.

Triggerhappy's legs/jet top rear are dead ringers for Misfire. I can see a TR Misfire being Trigerhappy from the waist down with a new body and wings.

I can see it too, but Topspin also looks a lot like misfire in robotmode TitansReturntoy-TopspinFreezeout.jpg

Triggerhappy would recuire retooling that Topspin does not:

Hey, i would be fine with a Triggerhappy-Misfire, i just think it would be a wast for Hasbro to spend money on a lot of retooling while they have a figure that at the least only needs a new headmaster and coloursheme.

in other words you want it to be accurate to the art YOU care about; the IDW art.
Well G1 Misfire IS accurate to the art, cause the IDW art is based on G1 Misfire.

IDW Misfire looks skinnier than G1. Plus the legs do not sit on the back in IDW as far as i know.

    Yeah yeah, tomatoes - tomatoes.
I would be fine with a more IDW looking toy.
It would still be cheaper to get that from a Topspin toy than from a Triggerhappy though.
And we have no idea where the legs end up in altmode, because you nor i remember him having been depicted in altmode in IDW, cause transforming transformers arent cool.
IDW needs to stop positively discriminating monoformers :p

They probably decided that Topspin was a better choice for Slugslinger and that people didn't want too many versions of that mold.

I do. I'm certain that Misfire flies in alt-mode at least once in every Scavengers storyline that he's been in, including the Revolution one-shot.

I'm still hoping more for using Triggerhappy, but I get the feeling I'm going to buy him regardless of which retool/redeco Hasbro decided to use. After all, I gave in and bought Flywheels as my first TR series toy even if he doesn't have a proper robot mode.

I cannot tell if you are typing a post from a smartphone, y'know. I just singled it out because I see this typo a LOT of time. Not as often as "Scorpinok", though, at least. :p

Nice comparisons. Maybe they will add Triggerhappy's legs to Topspin's torso and give them new wings and a nosecone?
Isn't Topspin also a Scourge/Highbrow retool btw, like Triggerhappy?

No, that's not stated on the first page, all I see is some guy called Hoffman (E.T.A Hoffman?) posting about it. It's not stated in his post that he is a retailer and has seen the toys or anything. I could do a similar post myself about things, who would know who I am and how I know things unless I add them to my post? Dunno why people cannot simply say "I am a retailer and that's how I know this".
Also no, my logic is that they would not be on the shelves at the SAME TIME. RID Windblade was in the second to last wave, she is still on shelves pretty much everywhere, while RID Blurr is in 2 waves from now, by which time a Wave 1 TR Deluxe Blurr will long be gone from shelves.

He states it somewhere in this thread, but, not first page.
