I don't know if anyone posted this or not, but I walked into Suncoast last night and one of the minions there talked about Suncoast getting their own TF exclusive for the chain as they will also be carrying the TF Movie line. The manager seems to believe that it will be a 3rd protoform that we have not seen yet. I will keep you posted as I hear more info.

 

That would be pretty cool...probably a protoform bumblebee since he is the main character...even though i would like to see a protoform ironhide

 

I think every Suncoast around here closed up a while ago. That place was a rip-off

 

Well Moon I can say that yeah the prices were pretty tough but it is one of the only places around here I can get Anime. So I have to take the good with the bad.

 

I don't even know what Suncoast is. Guess there's one exclusive I won't be getting...

 

I have a hard time believeing suncoast does the volume that would warrant an esclusive.

I, too, was under the impression that all Suncoasts had closed. Guess not.

I can't imagine that any store would get a new mold exclusive for the movie line, much less Suncoast.

 

Yes, to my knowledge the only new-mold exclusives a store has ever had were the unreleased Beast Machines molds back in RiD. Beyond that, everything has been a remold or a repaint.

If it happens, I'd guess it might be a remold of one of the existing Protoforms, perhaps a repaint.

 

What about as an FYE Exclusive? Every suncoast around me closed and immdeiately became an FYE.

 

The one near me closed as well, although I've been to a few in some of the not to far off major towns. They were super expensive, sometimes you'd find some decent deals on toys but there movie prices sucked ass, I think they and Sam Goody are all technically owned by the same group or company which figuers as Sam Goody's prices are outrageous also.

Surprisingly, there are still three open in a driving range for me. But then again, I'm guessing this would probably not come to pass.

 

Wow. One left in each of Indiana and Ohio. Even I wouldn't drive from here to Ft. Wayne (or Cinci) for a single Deluxe toy.

 

An update:

I talked to the assistant manager. He said SOMETHING will be coming in but unfortunately they won't know till it gets there. It may arrive as early as next Wednesday as various stores, TRU Wal*Mart and others have broken street date on the toys. So I will keep checking to find out what this mysterious toy is. If I can I will even snap pics.

If it is a new protoform I bet it's just a remold/repaint from one of the two existing ones.

 

If it's just a repaint of an existing protoform, it'll probably be Ultra Magnus/Nemesis Prime protoform, or maybe Thundercracker/Skywarp protoform

 

Actually, it seems that Suncoast, et al, do exclusive toys for other movie based lines quite a bit, so something like this for TF, now that there's a movie out, isn't out of the question.

We'll see what happens.
