Oooooh a KO of that tanker would be a nice alternative for those who don't have the cash for the genuine one.

 

Taobao is actually a Chinese online shopping site similar to eBay, practically it's equivalent in China, so yes take that with a grain of salt.

 

The rumor is real, from what my FP friend told me. Some KO maker is planning KOs of the CA-03, 04, 05 and trying to pass them off as the real versions. They also started a rumor that FansProject was out of business, to try and get people to quickly place orders for their KOs.

 

So will the KO version more cheaper than the original version?

 

Purple City Commander would appeal to me. I've often been tempted with the thought of getting a City Commander KO to bash into a "Shattered Commander".

A KO for 3rd Party releases? well I'll be. Hopefully the Battle Tanker set arriving for me in 3 weeks time will be the real deal. It's been slow in terms of new TF releases here for some unavoidable reason or the other.

 

That rumor has been spreading quite a bit, I'd advise your friend to make a quick update to thier page just to say "Yeah mates we're still here!"

 

If the KO's are cheap enough, I might buy it to commission for custom. Battle Tanker? Maybe buy it to custom as well.

 

i have KO of City Commander and Shadow Commander, along with a Real Shadow Commander, i dont mind the KOs at all, they are great for displaying figures!. so if there was a KO of the Battle Tanker, and a Shattered Glass Commander, id prob get both! lol

Insecticons are brand new, and going to be hard to beat the $50 price tag while maintaining quality.
Battle tanker has not even fully dropped yet,
Shattered Commander has been rumored for over a year.

I was talking with two friends. They translated from the KO makers blog or something that the reasoning behind the KOs is to battle the high cost of the original product's pricing! Lol.

Also, found out the real source of the rumors about FP going out of business. My original rumor in warning thread was correct.

no shit. well, that prevents me from ordering iGear stuff. was looking into their ironhide, ratchet and impactor. scratch all of them. douchey move.

 

No solid proof yet if they are behind it. But I have a couple third party sources who say otherwise. What I can say is that one of iGear's members posted on their blog that Fansproject split up, and that one of the FP members went and started making these upcoming insecticon KOs, which would be the same quality as the real ones. Not sure why they feel that had to be informed to people that the upcoming KOs were being handled by an "ex" FP member. Its like their trying to make sales...
