I hate to resurrect a closed thread, but I think it's worth a civil discussion without the hostility, so let's try this again.

Anyways, I was in my local Wal-Mart today and an employee was scanning inventory/orders, as usual the Generations was sparse however there was a Kup hanging out on the peg hooks. I asked if he could tell me if they have any more on order, when he scanned the barcode he said it shows the Generations toys as EOS (End Of Season). Anyone else getting the same results in their area?

So take that with the fact that nothing has been mentioned past Warpath, I can see that Generations may indeed be over for 2011 as the DOTM line starts to take over. However, I'm not all that sad about it as I think my wallet can use a break and DOTM has a few figures I'm looking forward to.

    It's time for a Generations/Classics subforum.

A place where people can speculate over things that will never be whilst taking offence at the tiniest of slight against their favorite subline.

Eh, not speculating...just relaying the information I got from a Wal-Mart employee scanning inventory/orders. Personally I can use a break from the line, I've ended up buying 2 of each (1 loose and 1 mosc)...my wallet has been hurting and with the G.I. Joe 30th Anniversary coming up, if Generations is shelved for a year or so that would be fine in my book.

Anyways, a Classics/Generations subforum would be a good idea. :)

I wasn't referring to your post, but the endless whinging, overreaction and thread duplication that goes hand in hand with Generations/Classics.

Especially when there's even the slightest hint that Hasbro may divert their resources into something other than rehashing simplified animation models from 20 odd years ago.

Uh oh! Watch out! Prepare for the flame war! You need a photocopy of the employees drivers license, signature and birth certificate to make these sort claims about a toy line! Needless Rampant Speculation is Needless and Rampant and should not be discussed! How Dare You!!!

    J/K

Hope I see a TC and WJ at least before it's all replaced by DOTM

Generations were never in season at my local Wal*mart stores.

Regardless of the status of Generations, the focus shift to DotM just makes sense. If this is indeed the case, we'll just pick back up after the movie :)

Yeah, this has pretty much been what they did since the first Classics line and then put it on hold when the movie came out. I think WJ and TC will make it to retail, but I am betting Warpath will be the tough one to find.

Generations is still active at my store (though a pain in the ass to get in). Everything else TF related is EOS or non-replenishable.

On that one, i wasn't entirely joking.

Classics discussion never dies down, but it's generally the same stuff over and over again. If all those duplicate threads could be put together in someway, it would make thing easier for everyone.

    Including Hasbro.

I'm beginning to think that pre-ordering a RTS Windcharger for $19 from BBTS would actually have been a wise financial decision, among other things.

Well...as long as I can get me a Kup, Scourge, Wheeljack, and Warpath before the line is off shelves, I'll be happy enough. Still waiting for solid proof though.

I am not sure they are ending, I just found a huge end cap of Generations at my Local Wal*Mart yesterday. This particular store has not had any Generations toys since Fall. Here's the pic.
