Seems they may have found Thomas Jane's replacement.
Titus Pullo was my favorite part of Rome. He made the whole thing watchable for me.
But without an unabashed R rating, I don't see how any Punisher film will be a good Punisher film.
That could be cool. Titus Pullo was one of the best parts of Rome. The guy's good at being intense and violent. I just hope they don't screw up the rest of it.
eh I dunno. Thomas Jane was a perfect Punisher. He just fit. I dont think anyone can replace him. But as per my usual stance, I'll reserve judgement until I see a new guy in action.
I heard the original parties where waiting for the rights to revert back to Marvel cause Lions Gate came in and changed up the script right as they were prepping to shoot. That's supposedly why Jane and the original director left.
.... I've come to realize that ANYONE can work in a movie role.. if the movie is good to begin with....
Might be interesting...if it ever gets made.
I'm not happy to see Thomas Jane leave...I thought he was fantastic in the role. A very surprising choice, sure, but one that won me over with his performance.
Much in the same way that Tom Jane proved us all wrong, I'm gonna give Ray Stevenson a chance. He's no less qualified for the role than Jane. In some ways he could be a more badass and appropriate choice.
So I'm ambivalent about it, I guess. I'm not exactly happy that Jane isn't in the role, but I'm not exactly disappointed in the replacement.
I agree. In terms of demeanor, look, and feel. Thomas Jane was the punisher. I just hope this guy can fill in his shoes and more.
movie? Punisher was worse than batman and Robin as a comic book movie.
That's a little harsh.
