I just noticed on my RID Prime that one of the tires has split. Is there a way to fix this? I was going to use Gel Super Glue. But thought Iwould ask here to see if there were any other ways?
Damn, how do these tires get split?? I don't have that problem with my 18 years old figures, and all the old figures other people have that I've seen, since I started collecting again, don't have their tires split.
Rubber dries, shrinks, and cracks. It's just one of those things. If you keep it "oiled" as it were, it can lengthen the life of your rubber tires and hoses, but once its gone .... there's not a whole lot you can do to fix it. Superglue might help, but the fact that the tire itself has shrunk on the wheel hub might make it difficult (not to mention that the damage is already done and its liable to disintegrate in the end anyway).
I had to repair 3 tires on my RiD Op. I also live in Arizona which might explain the drying and cracking. I just used regular old super glue, and it worked great. Now he can roll out again.
