I am lost. I don't understand why this is so sought after. Enlighten me kids!
There are very few classics left to collect.
Also, it has to do with rarity of the figure as well. You think he is expensive now, just wait.
Oh god, imagine if FP releases a limited upgrade set for him.
2. G1 homage
3. Rumored Cancellation
4. Crazy Fandom
5. Gotta have em all
6. Neat little figure
Not neccessarily in that order, I might add.
Okay but this isn't the end of classics/rts whatever though. We just have to get through the third movie right?
Nope, we have to my count a little over 20 G1 classic figures to go, not counting combiners and huge toys.
By G1 I mean US season 1-4.
I am one of those people that is only interested in US G1 cartoon series characters, be it G1 or a Classics update. I am starting to see clearly now.
count again, there are over 600 figures that were released not to mention the classics lines also involve beast wars and the trilogy line. We still haven't seen quite a bit.
It's a classic-styled figure, making it sought after by fans, and it's not available in the US. There are also rumors that it will not see release in the US.
Are you talking everything or just season 1-4 US? Cause my list would be WAY OFF.
I wasn't including the Japanese stuff, or anything else but US 1-4 and Movie. Also not counting every misc character on wreck gars planet and stuff.
Okay, so they are not releasing him in the US? I still see RTS at retail at Target and Walmart.
It's more a case of retailers flat out not buying the wave which Windcharger comes with, due to hype for the third movie toys.
I dont think its been released yet. At least not to mass-saturation levels yet, not by a long shot.
Meh, it happens. They cancel figures that we really want.
(Animated Thundercracker, Blackout, and Wingblade OP.) But maybe Takara will help us out.
dinobots, gears, huffer, pipes, hoist, punch/counter punch, soundwave, ravage, laserbeak, shockwave, insecticons , air raid (and conceivably all the rest of the aerial bots in non combiner modes) and that's just off the top of my head.
I do not mean to troll but this is exactly why I hate the damn Michael Bay movies. I know they are successful and make a lot of money and blah blah blah. People like 'em and that's fine. I'm crotchety and old and I desire to have both worlds coexist. Some room on the shelves/pegs for the live action movie and just a few pegs (is that too much to ask?) for Classics. It's like that right now at Walmart and TRU, ROTF and Classics/Generations/RTS.
I feel ya, but I am a blue collar fella. I don't have the disposable income to pay those prices.
I have close to 100 counting combiners (including headmasters). The thing is I am not holding my breath for Has/Tak to release classics combiners.
In case anyone wants to reference, here is my list of missing classics:
Protectobots - Defensor
- Hot Spot
- First Aid
Other Special Autobots
Stunticons - Menasor
- Dead End
- Drag Strip
Technobots - Computron
Throttlebots - Not combiner
Predacons - Predaking
Terrorcons - Abominus
- Fortess Maximus
I'm with ya dude, but at the same time, at least around here, when the movies have come out is when I've seen the classics/Universe toys get the most stocked/stacked. I don't think retailers "ignore classics" toys when movies come out like people are saying.
Separate names with a comma.
