Yeah, I know it's silly and I didn't spend more than 15 minutes on this, but I just noticed this while transforming my RTS Perceptor, so there you have it... :D

Well, the problem is that it is one of those forced perspective situations, it only works if you have the figure at eye level. From every other angle the illusion is destroyed because the gun tip sticks out too far and isn't recessed into the head like shockwaves original eye is. And you have to salvage a blaster from another figure for the gunarm. In this case I used Breachers clip-on gun.

true its a bit forced, but the concept itself is completely do-able (making a shockwave from that mold

If you wanted to do it properly you'd definetly have to come up with a way to have a good-looking shockwave head that's able to unfold somehow, because there is now way to make it fit into the space that Perceptors' head retracts to during altmode. Now that I think about it that could really work, because the whole way the shoulder gun is mounted would lend itself to having a small plate with a neck ball joint on top that could swivel over the neck area.

Even if it doesn't work for Shockwave, it would work well for Decepticon drones :)

    Good eyes! :)

Damn. That really works. Especially since the vehicle mode is appropriate too.
May have to consider doing this when Reflector comes out.
