After reading the news entry, I sent an email to Hasbro to verify it, and this is what I got in response:

    "Hi A,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. regarding the Transformers Reveal the Shield Windcharger and Rumble. We appreciate your interest in our company and products!

Please be assured both products are not discontinued.

Many Hasbro products can be purchased online at Games, Toys, Action Figures, Collectibles, and Gifts - HasbroToyShop.com.

All current Hasbro products are also carried by Toys R Us (Toysrus.com Home - The Official Toys"R"Us Site - Toys, Games, & More), Wal-Mart (Walmart.com: Save money. Live better.), Kmart (Clothing, Toys, Electronics, Jewelry, Jaclyn Smith - Kmart.com), Target (Target.com - Furniture, Patio, Baby, Toys, Electronics, Video Games), as well as other toy and mass merchandise retailers.

Some of our products can also be found online at Action Figures, Toys, Bobble Heads, and Collectibles by Entertainment Earth, the Action Figure Company (figures & collectibles).

Regrettably, we cannot guarantee product availability at any one store.

Again, thank you for your interest."

I don't think Hasbro ever said they were discontinued. To my understanding, it was more retailers saying "Dont give us those, WE WANT MOAR MOVIE!!!" so they might as well be discontinued. That's the impression I'm under, and it kinda matches Hasbro's comment.

Most likely the customer service rep who e-mailed you has no idea what you are talking about.

Funny how they list all those websites, yet Windcharger and that wave aren't on most of those websites (if any) along with most of the newer waves of transformers <_< I've seen RTS Wave 2 Deluxe on wal-mart here and there, but its always out of stock, probably was never in stock to begin with. But yes, as other people are saying with the retailers refusing to order them in favor of the movie toys, they may as well be discontinued/cancelled.

Until there is more solid word, I wouldn't trust anything. Most of the stuff on the big original rumor came from Vendor Reps. Yes they work for the company, but in my retail dealings, they know less about their products than the store employees. Most of them are just concerned about their displays, shelf space, and sales numbers. At Home Depot, 75% of vendor reps knew almost nothing about their own products, were very demanding when they came to a store, and pretty damn lazy. Some of the product they would sucker the districts into taking didn't even make sense and wasn't shelved for more than a couple days.

I would scoop up a Windcharger if you have the opportunity to just to be safe, but as far as hard evidence of their cancelation, I am a little sceptical from the little proof that we have gotten.

TC, I don't think your question was worded correctly to get the information you want. If anything, I would believe the status to be made, but no retailers have it because they didn't order, or something.

I don't really understand why people send mail to Hasbro and then post the reply as possible news. 9/10 times the reply is just a cookie-cutter response that gives little to no actual information

This is what Botcon is for.

Besides their best option is to re-release the figures in DOTM packaging.

Here's my translation of Hasbro's response:

"You want Transformers? You can buy them in stores."

Has the fanbase really become this arrogant? The RTS line has not and will not be cancelled by Hasbro. This is simply a case of retailers not ordering figures at the end of a toyline. This happens. The only reason we're being so insane over it is because they're our precious Classics, as opposed to more Movie malarkey.

^ Movie Malarkey. I'm gonna have to use that. So true.

I think it's just that the line was so very good, particularly toward the end, and those last few figures were our only hope of sanity before we get even more Bumblebees (I'm still waiting for "Free Candy Bumblebee - Now with blacked out windows!"). So the fact that the retailers suck walnuts really gives a lot of fire to the nerdrage.

I fired of an email Saturday, they sent this response today.

    Dear Jason,

    To: CustomerService@HasbroToyShop.com
Subject: Transformers RTS Scout Class Windcharger. (Thread: 2-711693)

Was sending this email to ask if you were getting any of these canceled
Generations & Reveal The Shield Transformers toys restocked in your online
    toy shop.
Thx. A big fan & collector for years: Jason Tate

Thank you for your e-mail and for your interest in our Transformers figures.
At the present time, it does seem as though we will be restocking the
TRANSFORMERS REVEAL THE SHIELD Scout Class WINDCHARGER as it is still listed
on our website. However, we unfortunately do not have an estimated arrival
date as to when inventory for this figure might be received. Please keep
checking back with our website as we do receive shipments to the warehouse
several times a week, and once it is available to be pre-ordered is in
stock, you may place an order for it at that time. Thank you.

We greatly appreciate your business. If you have additional questions,
please visit our website, Games, Toys, Action Figures, Collectibles, and Gifts - HasbroToyShop.com, or contact our Customer
Service Center via e-mail at CustomerService@HasbroToyShop.com or phone at
    1-800-408-0052

Whatever number of these figures Hasbro has manfuctured, they will distribute them somehow someway. If that means HTS or international buyers, then whatever. They will move them.

It's just going to be tricky and perhaps costly for those of us wanting them to get them. They exist, just not in the large numbers you'd see for a figure sold from the big retailers.

Maybe they'll just move the overstock to HTS. Isn't that what they did with the supposedly Asian-market Overkill, Dragstrip, Ops and Megs?

^ and then overstock of the overstock went to Marshalls. No more HTS exclusive. It's online retailers now.

Odds are I won't manage this one. Ah well. We'll see what comes back in stock on HTS. Hell, the Legends 4 pack is back in stock.
