Anyone have any insight on whether or not it's a good idea to preorder the Windcharger case? With the prices he's going for alone, I may as well get the rest of his wavemates for a little more. However, if they just aren't going to ship to anyone I'd hate to end up with that chunk of money just sitting in a retailer's escrow account. Any ideas? Oh, and I apologize for starting what must be like the thousandth thread on Windcharger. Not bad for a guy who's most memorable moment is being a dragged corpse.
It's your choice. After shipping a windcharger case would cost you about $120. Depending on the value you place on windcharger this is what you are paying for the other toys. Even value = $120/12 = $10/scout Windcharger = $20, other scouts = $8/scout Windcharger = $30, other scouts = $6/scout Windcharger = $40, other scouts = $4/scout While the retail price of scouts are about $8-$10, all of the scouts except Chopsaw which is a repaint in the windcharger case have already hit retail and may be shelfwarming. When Target starts clearancing its RTS soon those scouts will be available for $4-$7. The good part of the case is that Breacher and Sunspots are not that common. EDIT: Also, while you'll save money by ordering a case you'll also have to go through the effort of getting rid of the extras.

I found a Chopsaw at a local comic shop today. That means they probably had a Windcharger or two recently. If you guys haven't been checking your comic shops, you may want to give that a try.
yeah, comic stores can order the cases, but generally they'll have to price everything higher and most likely sit on the rest of those figures... i'm tempted to buy a case as well, just haven't decided... it'd be easier to just get one from Canada or the UK...
I bought the case, ended up basically breaking even after selling the extras on Ebay. Your best bet is to find someone (local?) who wants the other WC, then splitting the case 50/50. At least them you pay $50 for 6 scouts, which isnt too bad.
Agreed, James. In fact, I just bought the case. First one of you interested in splitting it with me that PMs me is the winner.
Isn't Chopsaw in another case too though? I don't think this guy guarantees the previous presence of Windcharger.
Not Chopsaw, but Brimstone was. I'm only going by sightings and the cases/sets available through BBTS. As far as I can gather, Chopsaw has only been available in the same case assortment as Windcharger.
