I'm debating on whether I should peel the rubsigns off of my RTS figures or leave them on. Has anyone done this yet? What does the paint look like underneath especially on Rodimus and Cyclonus from the BiS set?

If I do peel them off I'm going to replace them with some reprolabels insignias.

What do you think? Vote in the poll and tell me why!! THANKS!!

    Poll?

But I'm taking them off and replacing them with real faction symbols.

    lulz

Not to mention that apparently little Wong Fu in the factory can't seem to get the rub symbols on straight, which bothers me to no end.

I'm torn about 'em. I understand this whole "robots in disguise" aspect and the desire to emphasize the disguise part but I do like traditional faction symbols myself. So I dunno what I'd do.

I'm leaving mine. I can think of many different things to get my panties in a bunch.

If you're unhappy with the rubsigns, why not just place a Reprolabel faction symbol ON TOP OF THEM? That way you're happy, and the figure's easily 'restored' if you decide to change your mind later on... :)

I would definitely take them off if they were just squares, but I don't mind them being in the shape of the insignia.

I don't mind them, and what's all the fuss about? They don't look bad, an you can just take them off, stick them somewhere else and put the faction logo where the sign was.

This is the main reason I've removed the one on my RTS Tracks. My Jazz was even more crooked compared to the one on Tracks but I was able to take it off and straighten it without losing it's stickiness. So I've left it on there for now but the one corner is creased so I may just take it off completely.

It's not that they bug me at all, in fact I like the new shaped look of them but the placement of them are horrible which bothers me more than anything else.

Either way, I've still added 'bot logos to both figures.

I hate rub signs. Yeah they're supposedly robots in disguise but no fiction has had rub signs. Plus I love me symbols on stuff.

But if you want to see what I did to my Battle in Space Rodimus and Cyclonus:

Also threw a WFC symbol on Tracks.

Not pictured is the normal faction symbol I replaced Jazz's rub symbol with.

I think all the figures look soo much better with normal symbols.

It's a nice piece of nostalgia to me, so i'd leave them on. Personally rubsigns were never dealbreakers for me, I don't ever recall turning down a transformer because of it's rubsign or lack of it for that matter. To me they never added or took anything from the toy aesthetically in anyway whatsoever, so i'd leave them on besides the closer to G1 the better in my opinion! But I can understand why some people might want to take them off, particularly when their placement is a bit off and it actually affects the looks of the toys, particularly with the RTS brand!

i'm still torn on this subject. I like them for nostalgia purposes because they remind me of my old toys when i was a kid but, after looking at Ryoku's pics, those figures look great like that.

    Man, I can't decide!!

I like rubsigns, but they are all crooked and the one on my tracks doesn't even work. Half of it is always visible, and the other half won't show no matter what.
