Both. Also, (nitpicking here) it's "Reveal the Shield" not "Shields"

Generations. Not a fan of rub symbols.

Generally I see it as a whole line together with Classics and everything that fits.

It's tough. RTS gave us Jazz, Tracks, Wreck-Gar, Grapple, Lugnut, Windcharger and Perceptor.
Whereas Generations gave us Scourge, finished the Seekers (Dirge, Thundercracker and Thrust), Kup, Blurr, Warpath, Wheeljack, Red Alert, not to mention the WFC toys.

It's tough, but I'll go for Generations, just because they didn't have the cheap rub signs and had better plastic quality in general.

They're both Classics to me, so I like both lines.

UNITED gave me my Jazz, Tracks and Wreck-Gar. Demerits to RtS for inferior decoes on those cats, and the moronic orange capped-legends Megatron.

I agree with this totally, but I'll still vote since the line had seperate characters, and that can be judged.

I'm going to say Generations. When I got into collecting last december, they were the first retail TFs I bought, and impressed me so much that I went "full on" with TF collecting from there.

The characters were better, and it had more original molds as well. The WFC figures were dead on accurate, thrust and Dirge completed out the cone seekers line. in one line (sans Ramjet), and even darkmount/skullgrin were a nice throwback to the pretender era.

RTS' classics were mostly repaints, and then some, like deepdive/Strafe weren't even repaints of CLASSICS figures. Jazz, WreckGar, Grappel, and Lugnut REALLY make the line standout though. Even though those figures are probably the best classics to be released this year, I think that Generations still wins for being the most solid overall.

    Generations all the way.

Completely biased based on my buying, but RTS was a far superior line to Generations.

I don't buy WFC, so one strike against Generations. I couldn't care less for the comic characters either; Drift, Darkmount, Thunderwing, and Skullgrin. Two. But we did get a couple good ones out of the line, albeit late in the line like Kup, Blurr, and Scourge (I haven't gotten Junkheap just yet).

RTS on the other hand gave us figures we've been wanting for years like Jazz and Tracks. Also Perceptor and the G2 Prime. Not to mention different size classes with Trailbreaker, Windcharger, and Grappel. My only knock against the line is the rubsigns, which I don't care for.

That's why my vote went to "Don't like either." Every figure I just mentioned has or will be replaced in my display by it's United counterpart in the near future.

Like both, but RtS loses a couple points in my book for leaving Decepticons completely out of the deluxe lineup (I'm ignoring Cyclonus since he was in a two-pack and not solo card). Skullgrin, IMO, would've been better off in RtS, maybe trading places with Wreck-Gar (who probably would've been easier to find in Generations).

Like most, they are all lumped together for me, but for the question, I judged it mainly on the Deluxes. Generations have given us more Deluxes of iconic (IMO) characters, even if there are some misses. But they are both great, and I have purchased more than my fair share of RTS Wreckgars. Rub signs to annoy me, and I am not a big fan of replacing them with stickers. That as well as the goofy flames on Tracks, and muted white on Jazz are a couple more knocks against RTS. But Wreckgar alone makes this one really, really close for me.

Generations had the WFC figures and RTS had distribution problems.

Same here. Rub signs aside, I've never really made a distinction between the two.

love 'em both...but I would have to lean towards "Reveal the Shield". They have Voyagers, Deluxes, Scouts, and Legends...more veriety. Generations just had deluxes pretty much.
