This question is why I can't get into a lot of the off-screen movie stuff, some of the recent voyagers, etc. I look at them and just don't see a place in my collection. For me it doesn't fit with Classics, but my movie cast is only on-screen characters. But this is why it is great, put it wherever if fits for you in your collection. For me, it fits folded up as a $20 bill in my pocket, but that is just me.

Feels more classic than movie. Movie figures tend to have more details on their bodies and limbs than classic figs. Eg: pistons, gears, random linings. I'm just not seeing it on Luggy. At the same time it feels weird for HasTak to classic-ized an Animated character, so I'm kinda stuck in the middle.

He' going in classics for me, because having him in G1 would be awesome.

Isn't he in "United" anyways in japan? Yeah.

    Classics.

(yes, non-G1 characters were in Henkei in japan, but the included comics retconned them into G1 characters, so there)

Considering the character's only previous incarnation was in Animated (and therefore neither G1 nor movie) - it's whatever the hell you feel like lumping him together with. :)

He'll probably go on my 'miscellaneous' shelf with Mindwipe, Bludgeon, ROTF Lockdown etc.

As far as I'm concerned, Reveal the Shield as a line fits into the broader Classics "family", so Lugnut by extension fits into the broad definition of "Classics".

Classics. I just don't see the Movie aesthetic in him.

He's inbetween on purpose. It's all part of the tactic of slowly blending movie toys into classics toys so that customers will hopefully not stop buying Transformers because they notice the 'movie toys' are gone.

    Just enjoy the figure.

This sounds like a Revenge of the Fallen shelf.

Classics, easy. He lacks even the partial movie detailing that Mindwipe has.

In one of the Q&A's this month, Hasbro pretty much said that Seaspray, Terradive and co were NOT movie characters, but figures using their new design philosophy of blending realism and classic looks.

I would venture Lugnut falls into that category...

He's going on MY CUG shelves with Tomahawk, Terradive, etc.
