It just occured to me that I have never seen such a lopsided line of tf's as the RTS line. And the irony is is that the entire point of the line is focused on what faction the bot you're buying is. The thing is is they are almost ALL Autobots! The score is very uneven, what gives?

    Autobots:
    Optimus Prime (Legends)
    Goldbug (Legends)
    Prowl (Legends)
    Trailbreaker (Legends)
    Windcharger (Scout)
    Outback (Deluxe)
Mindset [WhyTF is HE an Autobot, anyway??] (Deluxe)
    Jazz (Deluxe)
    Tracks (Deluxe)
    Hot-Rod (Deluxe)
    Perceptor (Deluxe)
    Wreck-Gar (Deluxe)
    G2 Optimus Prime (Deluxe)
    Bumblebee (Deluxe)
    Grapple (Voyager)
    Strafe (Voyager)
    Deep Dive (Voyager)

    VS.

    Decepticons:
    Megatron (Legends)
    Starscream (Legends)
    Chopsaw (Scout)
    Rumble (Scout)
    Cyclouns (Deluxe)
    Lugnut (Voyager)

And just to add to the issue, I've yet to see ANY of these Decepticons around here (and probably never will), save for the Cyclonus repaint.

The autobots it need a little more help taking on megatron and starscream. The ratio makes sense to me.

When I first read the thread title I thought it was referring to the physical placement. I had to skim through a peg's worth of RtS Tracks before I found one that wasn't WAAAY out of place. I don't think they peel off too easily to be re-positioned either.

But going by your list you certainly have a point. What's the reason to "Reveal the Shield" if its a gigantic probability it will be an Autobot? Maybe the game is to actually FIND the Decepticons.

If it helps, my RTS Legends Trailcutter came with a Decepticon rub sign on him.

LOL...apparently it's really REALLY goddamned hard to take a picture of him with the rubsign still showing and not have everything blurry as hell.

    Generations isn't much better...
Drift, Prime, Bee, Red Alert, Blurr, Wheeljack, Kup, Warpath
Soundwave, Megatron, Darkmount, Skullgrin, Scourge, Thunderwing, Thundercracker
...ok, maybe it is a little closer.

Not exactly anything new, the Autobot's have always outnumbered the Decepticon's in every line. But I do agree that, if you're gonna have a promotion where you have to reveal what faction they are, they could have at least made the numbers a little more even.

I'm hoping that, when they finally relaunch the Classics line in the future, they do the Decepticon's more justice.

Whats so weird with it is that is seems like a line that is focused hard toward the collectors out there, and yet we get so few Decepticons even when we ask Hasbro nicely for more Decepticons.

Just so hard for Decepticon fans to get any loving these days except from the third party companies.

    Think about it this way:

In 1984 there were 30 figures.

    20 were Autobots.
    10 were Decepticons.

As far as Classics lines are concerned, of course the 'bots are gonna get more.

The irony has not escaped me. You think they could have made some more cons, would have been easy to make Deep Dive one since he's a new character.

Well, the decepticons have Lugnut. It wouldn't be fair if they had more troops too.
