Hey guys, just wanted to share up what I've been working on recently. This is one of the scratchbuilt spoilers I finished, installed on RTS Jazz for my pal Xhairs (this is his Jazz figure). I'm still working on hiding the hinges with some very thin sheet styrene, so they don't show as much. Here are some shots showing alt mode, bot mode, and where it all fits in with the articulation and all. Wrapping up a few other spoilers as well, before shipping them out soon. This is still a WIP, but it's nearly DONE. Also, I added some attachments showing some references for the Jazz spoiler that I used.

 

This looks great! By the way, where did you get the hinges that attach to the spoiler?

 

It looks good but it needs something that I just can't quite put my finger on. Something so it doesn't look so obvious. Maybe a small prop from under the new spoiler that just rest on the back of the car.

 

bro it is looking great and i cant wait till its done and i see this bad boy in my hands. jazz is my fav TF and when i get him back the rebo stickers go on and he will be the best jazz ever.

Gotta know where the hinges came from!!

 

The hinges are made of nylon and can be found in R/C shops. They're typically used in R/C aircraft and such. They make varying sizes, some even smaller than the ones Brian used. Here's a link from a quick Google search that may help you:

Already got something under there, man. I may jack it up a slight bit though, if it still looks ok. I think it could be the hinges throwing it off since they show.
