Started working on Jazz tonight while watching 'Tropic Thunder' (I'm sensing a theme with movies that have Tom Cruise in them). I already put the repro sticker on so I missed a chance at a full wash. I don't plan on touching the car all that much other than what I've done and adding some taillights and maybe repainting the red stripe. I need to get a blue for some spots and I think that should be it on colors to match the G1 figure.

I think it already looks a million better just with these little touch ups. But that's just me.

3-24-2011: Done. Well, I need to put silver on the piece above his feet but other than that I think I'm content with this. It's amazing how boring the figure was when I put them side-by-side

Amazing what a few small changes can do, I plan on doing the same on mine now that I finally found a Jazz.

Thanks guys. For the grill I just barely dipped the brush in the paint and lightly dragged it across. I don't think I pulled any off the brush other than what I did in the paint bottle. Sadly after I did that I found a nice pack of various tipped brushes at wal mart. It really would have helped!

As I'm going to grab a blue today (maybe cobalt blue) to try to simulate the G1 waist area I thought I'd ask everyone's thoughts on placement. Do I

A - Put it on the inner portion (where the yellow and red section is) to mirror his G1 sticker. Or,
B - Put it on the piece just below that area. You cannot see it in the picture but it's basically an 'O' with a line pointing both up and down.

B was my first thought as I think there would be way too much blue if I did it where the yellow and red are.

Almost finished. I filled in the grill, though now I think it should be more steel - maybe?

What's a good color for windows and reverse lights?
