Still working on finishing up my Wreckers collection, so I started on Rotorstorm. Hated the chicken legs Tomahawk came with so I went another route by using Cyclonus' legs. I think they work pretty well, but of course they're not perfect. On a upnote, they do have that stategically placed landing gear right where I needed it! The rear tail fins I'd like to put on tiny model plane hinges so that they can fold under the arms in robot mode. Think I'm gonna use the HA Whirl ski legs and add them to the cyclonus legs (again, on the aforementioned hinges as well to fold back in bot mode) where the side fins come out on his legs.

The head is still a WIP as well. I had made this head in the very beginning of Jan. and cobbled it together from a gen. red alert and the face of tomahawk. It won't fit in the canopy for alt. mode and theres a few gaps that would need filling to smooth the contour a bit. However, I now have a head coming from Spoonman that will work perfectly though. Sure you've seen his post. That's about it so far, Let me know what you guys think of this build, more to come!

The Cyclonus legs are surprisingly cool.

With different legs the mold looks much better.

Never thought about Cyclonus's legs for this figure, but they work surprisingly well! I may have to borrow this if I ever get off my butt and make Rotorstorm out of my spare Tomahawk (which was purchased for that sole reason).

Looks great so far. Can't wait to see it completed!

Thanks man, shouldn't be too much longer for completion. I like the legs as well. They also give him about a extra 1/2" of height!

What do you guys think of the head I made. Should I stick with that, or use the one I got coming from Spoonman?

I like the Cyclonus legs. They work much better than the Seeker legs I've seen used before. But I am just not digging that head in your pictures. Go with the one from Spoonman.
