Just saw the latest trailer to come out for Xmen origins and it looks bad ass.

Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on which movie you are looking forward to see more, and which movie you think will do better or generate more money at the box office.

Here is the latest trailer from Yahoo:

You're asking this on a Transformers board?

I have yet to meet anyone, including my brother who is a marvel fan, who is remotely excited about Wolverene.

I'm looking forward to both movies, but I honestly have to say I'm more interested in X-Men Origins: Wolverine ... because Deadpool and Gambit are in it, and because I haven't followed it as much as I've followed TF:RotF.

I almost feel like I've already seen RotF with all the spoilers over the last year.

Not holding much hope for Wolverine being very good. Looks like again they are trying to cram in too many characters for the sake of it. And then there's Deadpool's look.
I'll rent it when it's out on DVD.

    ROTF will make more money.

Wolverine sounds like crap(pier at least). And will do worse as a result.

    We are in agreement.

I posted this somewhere else on this site already, but here.
A supposed first synopsis of the movie.

Extreme spoilerage. Click at your own peril.

I, for one, will welcome Star Trek and ROTF with open arms.

I'm super excited for both movies.

ROTF will make more. The Wolverine character is in it's 4th movie which will temper it's ticket sales a bit.

I'm honestly looking forward to RotF more, and think it'll get more overall. I'm just tired of seeing Wolverine in anything and everything dealing with X-men. Not that he's a bad character, just that he gets way too much attention, and thus takes away from any attention given to other characters. Here's hoping they still do the Origins movie for Magneto, and that it contains no Wolverine in it. I think we need a Wolverine free X-men movie.

They have raped Deadpool's character it's not even funny.

    Gambit IMO is very overrated.

The only thing about Wolverine that looks good is Liev Schreiber other than that it looks pretty weak

    I agree.

Yeah, just like Transformers will need an Optimus free movie? I think it could work somewhere down the line.

As a HUGE comic fan I am still looking forward to RotF much more. If it had been Watchmen instead of Wolvie, then it would have been much closer. I honestly don't like any of the real life X Men movies (even number 2 was only decent).

Wow. That Deadpool news just made my interest in this movie go from a 7 to a 3. I thought Ryan Reynolds was a good pick for Deadpool, and then to see THAT IT APPEARS the character has been butchered so badly is seriously disappointing. I will probably still go see it, but if it's the movie these previews talk about... blah. What a wasted opportunity.

What's with these "ROTF vs Random 2009 Movie release of the day" threads that make little to no sense?

I get the point that both are iconic characters of their respective fictions, but I still think Wolverine gets too much attention compared to the other X-men characters. Yeah, Optimus does get a good amount of attention himself, but the others almost always get their fare share of attention. As far as I'm concerned, the three "X-men" movies are really Wolverine movies with some other X-men on the side.

Hope that doesn't sound argumentative, just trying to explain my opinion as best as I can.

I agree with you on the too much Wolvie. Just was saying that someone will prob say the same thing about Optimus in the future and was trying to imagine a movie without him. I don't know if I could.

I'm looking forward to both, but not as much as I am awaiting star trek.

Oh, ok, thought you were someone trying to point out a flaw in my line of thinking. I honestly can easily imagine a movie without Optimus Prime in it. It probably won't happen, but it would be nice to see some other bot take up leadership. Who knows, we may see that happen, we'll just have to wait and see.
