We all know how Voyager Megatron has this big old kibble backpack, even though if folded doesn't look bad... from the front.

I noticed a hinge where the backpack connects to Megatron. Is it possible to remove the backpack from that hinge and still be able to put it back in A-okay?

The hinge is connected on both ends by metal pins, so I doubt it.

    DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!
I took the pin out, and can put it back in easily.
I just put a toothpick in so I can take it off and put it on without having to puch out the pin...

I just cut the whole connector the pin is in out so it was out of the way. Tank mode holds pretty decent from the pegs on the sides of his treads. It's not as solid as it was originally-But it doesn't flop around either. Robot mode looks great from the front without the kibble, but it leaves you with a messed up unfinished backside.

Well, what I did was bend the backpack one way, then the other until it started to come off the pin, then I used a needle to push the pin out. :D
The pin can go right back in, but like I said, I prefer to use a toothpick as a pin substitute, so I can just slide it out. (The pin is thick, so it takes more effort to slide out than a toothpick.)
Some people with better equipment use some powertool that shoots the pin out, but I don't have one. :p
