Anyway at all the back wings could be sacrificed, or would it take away something crucial for the alt mode?

 

The front ones could probably be removed, but the ones that sit at the rear of the tank peg into the treads to keep them in place, otherwise they'd sit fairly loosely.

 

So the backpack is all folded up in those pictures, right? It doesn't flop around, much? BTW can we get the standard Classics Starscream comparison iwth this guy, in both robot and jet mode?

Backpack is folded up in those, not sticking out the back like in earlier pictures. It'll flop a bit of you pick him up by the back pack and shake him, but it's pretty stable all folded up like that.

I'll get some Classics Starscream comparisons tomorrow. Didn't bring him into work with me.

You could if I currently had the voyager class prime mold. I've got the Classics and Animated voyager Ops, but no version of the movie mold.

 

Does the backpack peg into the back or the altmode face guard at all, or is it simply free to flop about as it will?

 

Nice pictures, and I think I'll stick with the Leader version...Don't really like the looks of this one.  

BTW, which head is better? And are they similiar in size? Looks like it, though I could be wrong...

I've been turned around on this one. His robot mode looks far more screen accurate than the Leader. These pictures have completely sold me. I may pose him beating the hell out of Starscream...
