I thought someone previously posted that it was going to be at the end of October?

I seriously doubt ROTF won't be out on DVD/Blu-ray in time for the holidays. The first film was released October 16, 2007 so I would expect a similar release date for ROTF.

The date is just a placeholder, a lot of retailers do that when an exact date isn't out yet (and its usually a date like that), just look at Gamestop, they do it a lot.

    As for the price....wtf @ a $35 dvd.

Yeah..I'm just gonna go with the $50 Best Buy exclusive bluray.

Prices are never right. The "list price" or "suggested retail price" on websites are just a suggestion made by the company, or a placeholder price until they get the actual price. DVDs always turn out to be 20 bucks, or 25 for a special edition. Don't mind the price, I bet my life that the DVD will be 20 bucks, maybe 25for Blu-Ray and the two disc.
As for the release date, the 1st movie came out a little over 3 months after its release in theaters. I'd say 4 months, for a release in October again is more than reasonable. :D

I thought it was already up for preorder on Amazon too, but for cheaper. No details were given about how it'll be released (one's a blu ray listing, one's a standard listing with two discs) nor a release date.
