Good grief. Please tell me that's totally mistransformed, because it looks utterly awful in those shots...

I think it is. Check out the in package pics. He seems correctly transformed there.

how does the battle mask work, I mean where does it go when up?
edit: Human Alliance BB is the true ultimate BB.

The chest piece is mistransformed. It moves around quite a bit to get be "more" movie accurate, although it still looks stupid. The headlight panels can turn up so the lights are pointing more forward instead of down. They left and right parts of the hood also move out and in a bit.

It almost looks like the Battle Mask just snaps on or something. Which is absolutely fail, but par for the course for this figure.

Yes, it certainly does. They could manage to make the Human Alliance BB's mask slide up and down, but not this much larger one?

Good -- that alleviates the tiny bit of desire I would've had for this figure.

EDIT: Or it may even be just a "turn the head around" deal.

EDIT 2: The box does say it flips down, though. Still, meh.

He may be a retool, but I loved the first Ultimate 'Bee and am digging the new bells and whistles here. I'm sold.

This thing was a big-time shelfwarmer the first time it was released, surpassed only by those damn voice-changer helmets, and I can't imagine it doing any better this time with only a few minor remolds (I had to look closely at the TFU.info listing for the original to even notice what they changed).

I think it should be renamed "Ultimate Completionist Bumblebee" in the collector world, cause those are the only people who collect that are gonna buy this again at full retail price. Good for them for milking the mold, but this is one repaint that I will pass on. This one is the ultimate "Malibu Stacy with New Hat" remold.

Would I like to have waited now to get this instead of the first one? Yes.
Is it different enough to waste $70-$80 on again? No.

Man they have him so mistransformed. The major things are they dont have his feet pulled out and they dont have his legs straightened.. Alot of people think this figure past and present is bow leged but he isnt. In the box and in the pics they have him bowleged . He looks awesome when he is transformed right. I really like this figure. Only thing i dislike is the price of him. Ill wait till his price drops before i grab one again ..

At least it transforms, which is better than Unleashed stuff that's constantly on clearance for $5.

I would like to thank Hasbro for curing me of my Completionism diseases, hopefully, maybe probably not. He is not bad looking even though he is not transformed correctly.

He's too plastic-ky for my liking, which was also why I did not buy him even when he's sitting at clearance corners. Not even his "Battle Mask" can save him from failing to attract. :ev:
