I got Desert Tracker Ratchet. Boy, what a cheap way to sell an old mold. Change nothing, except for the box. I just drybrushed all teh drybrushable with metal coat, used copper and gold for details, gave some big blue pretty eyes, used gunmetal for his primary colour. Finished the look with some repro-labels.

I have no alt-mode pics yet, the paints not fully dried. I will take those pictures after drying and clear coating (I love glossy acrylic Tamiya Clear coat!)

    UPDATE:
Gave him a more suitable head and a blaster! Blaster can be stored in car-mode underneath the car.

    EDIT:

Okay, some truck pics! I'm visiting my parents right now, and I took this guy along to keep working on him, but on the trip, some paint rubbed off. I'm fixing the issues right now. I took some photos, because I'm not sure if I get the oppertunity again..Anyway:

Lookin good! However, he needs a new head, or at least a modded one imo. Have you thought about using some sculptee or something to maybe change the eyes to more of a visor? Your paint job is great though.

Thanks. @your suggestion: I wish! Never used any sculpting putty and I don't have spare heads.

Edit: Maybe I can use of the plastic from the packaging!

    Edit2: Lulz, I can't XD

Nice work. I like the mold and was really hoping we'd get a desert camo version. Oh well.

@deliciouspeter: Ya, "Desert Tracker" my ass. Bright green trucks with heartbeat patterns really blend in among the camels.

I'm very happy the overall opinion of this project is so positive, thank you all very much!

metallichemist: I use mostly Humbrol Enamels, for the base I used coal black, for the drybrushing I used 'Metal Cote'/Polished Aluminum. (I'm not sure it's an enamel, I think it's actualy METAL coating) His primary colour is gunmetal (MY FAVORITE OF ALL METALLICS), tamiya metallic blue for the eyes, humbrol copper and gold for details and reprolabels for the logos

VERY nice!:thumbs2:  My only gripe is that the head is still clearly too "Ratchety" if you know what I mean, so a slightly more G1-ish head for him would really finish this great peice off.

    Otherwise, he's awesome!:thumbs2:

Same here, if I find a replacement, it's going on. And to be honest, the head is ugly for Ratchet too...

Alternators-heads work good on Voyagers, eh? As for your critique; Of course, to each his own. I wasn't sure flashy colours would fit the movie-aesthetics. And also, I didn't decided on 'Trailbreaker' until the paint was almost already dry. It was a bit of an afterthought, so you're absolutely right there. Still, to each his own, right? Glad you like the rest, though, haha. =)
