There is a variant for the ROTF Thrust figure that has been discovered. The insignia will be either the Decepticon ROTF insignia (diamond shaped eyes) or the Decepticon G1 insignia (triangle shaped eyes). I've borrowed a pic from Spectre28's locked thread and taken a picture of my own figure as a comparison.

Thanks go to TFW2005 member all our dead for posting this in the Toy Forum and to TransFan2 for providing this info initially. And, to Spectre28 for providing a nice pic that can be used as a comparison, even though his thread got locked.

Also to note, the wing insignias on my figure are also the G1 style. I haven't seen pics of the other figure's wings yet to confirm if they are consistently the same style all over the figure or not.

Before someone says "What are you talking about I don't see anything Mods please lock thread".

The G1 eyes are a little bigger whilst the movie are thinner.

Huh? He has pics in the first post.

Also, Mine has the G1 logo on the should and wings. So I'm gonna guess the ROTF Decepticon logo is rare, cause i never get the cool stuff.

Mine has the G1 insignia too.

It actually makes sense, because this character is a G1 Homage in of itself.

Well, based on some evidence it might be 50/50. For starters, the posting that TransFan2 made on the other site (you can find it clicking through the links I provided) he provides a pic of 4 total Thrust figs he bought and indicates 2 of each. That suggests a 50/50 if he got them all at the same spot. He may have had to hunt a bit though.

Also, there have been a few Official Thrust Images threads in the News Forum already: One Two

They seem to be mixed 50/50 with images having both for the out of package and in package images. I've attached the images:

    1) Out of package - ROTF Insignia
    2) Out of package - G1 Insignia
    3) In package - ROTF Insignia
    4) In package - G1 Insignia

So the "official" images seem to be about 50/50 too based on what we've seen.

*Note: Took pics of the 2 Variant Thrusts I had so when I went looking for more for my collection, I would know what was what (a.k.a I brought my camera [with me] which had these pics on them at the time)*

(Sorry about the bit of darkness in pics.)

I got both set of Thrust Variants (2 of each) at the same store and here are 2 pics of the symbol variants from my end (note: I got these Variant Thrusts at an earlier time..referring to the ones in pics):

    I hope that makes sense,

Yeah, I have the "diamond" variant. It was the first one on the peg, fresh on the shelves (two days prior didn't have any Thrusts at that store). Couldn't tell you which will be the rare one, but I do like the diamond-look over the normal style.

I got my G1 style symbol Thrust about a week ago, saw this post and went to Wal-Mart and found the ROTF symbol. The store also had G1 style when I went tonight.

Remeber besides the eyes, you can compare the top of the symbol. G1 is shaped like a "V" in the center and the ROTF has a flat spot "\_/".

Why would Hasbro use the G1 Insignia on definite movie toy? Is it an actual video game character? Did the video game design they received from Activision have that symbol?

Upon further inspection, mine appears to have ROTF Decepticon eyes.
