Hi guys, I scored one of these on ebay yesterday for a little custom project that I want to do, the only thing is someone said to me that the this retooling of sideswipe is somewhat not that common.

    (this one...)

Now, I don't really collect/buy the movie figures at all, but if it is a bit rarer then I would prefer to keep it in the collection and pick up a sideswipe instead.

Any thoughts would be great guys :)

    cheers

I don't think it's rare. Open it, and also you can find a PCC Darkscream, then put the combiner head on instead of Swerve head which is a much better (both sculptwise and colorwise) and a more articulated fit for him.

God i hated that figure just because of it's head until i did that swap.

I don't know what you guys are talking about that guys head is awesome! Also, I don't think he is very common at all. At least not compared to other figures in the line..

ROTF Sideswipe was more rare than Swerve.

Amusingly, I actually like Swerve more.

Hey guys, Hasbro did give us a Dino figure!

    *trollface.jpg*

But seriously, I think its more semi-rare. Personally I only saw it a few times are retail.

I haven't seen it as much on eBay lately, much like the Allspark Power Cliffjumpers from the first movie. I suspect its because many people are using them as stand-ins for Dino. I know I'm doing that.

I just need to change the head for a custom i'm going to do with it :)

All in all I only paid £2 something (bout $4) with the card/bubble, only been used on display which all in all has been a good cheap buy!

Ebay has been good to me this week, got this, a RID Predacon Megatron to do a real obscure custom, and another headless Skullcruncher to do another Alligatorcon Prime.....or maybe Nemesis or Magnus.... ;)

    Which do you reckon?

Actually I do use this as my spiritual stand-in for Dino. However:
-Swerve is a much better name
-I like that he has the Sideswipe body-type, reflecting that they are partners
-He gives off kind of a noble vibe, so I more or less discard his bio. Except...
-Thanks to MTMTE all Swerves will hereafter be smart-asses in my collection.

Speaking of Swerves, did the OP get this guy mixed up with the Aveo Swerve?

no no, i'd never even heard of that Swerve before

It was just another person I was chatting to who seemed to think that it was not too common over here in the UK, and as I said I dont really care for many movie figures so I wouldnt have known either way aha
