Is this figure exactly the same figure as the Universe release just repackaged? is there any difference in the figures themselves at all?

It's going to be Airrazor. Hasbro no longer has the rights to the name Slingshot.

I'm still gonna call him Slingshot dispite what the box says. I do that with my Classics Erector (packaged as "Movie Mudflap")

Also, like it was said before, Hasbro can't use the name. Yes, Airrazor is not as good as Slingshot, but Airrazor is better than nothing. Besides, the toy is mainly meant for kids, how are they supposed to already know that Airrazor was the female hawk from Beast Wars?

I'm still gonna be calling him Slingshot even if the box has a different name for him. I do that with my Classics/Universe Bluestreak (Silverstreak).
I mean Airrazor is supposed to be Slingshot in this set they just can't use his old name. That said, he'll be Slingshot in my book. No harm in me calling him that.

The only differnce that I noticed is that the noses of the planes on windrazor and treadshot on the rotf release are more rounded and not as pointed as the energon ones.

Maybe not, but what if your toys stop coming when you call them. You wouldn't want to offend them would you? Who's gonna fight off Bruticus if one of Superions legs isn't speaking to you? :D
