I'm just stuck on which to buy for the Fans Project Appendage add on. I've mulled it over a couple times but I can't come to any decision myself. Both figures are pretty craptastic in quality so I know what the vanilla versions entail, but I'm having trouble with the colors. I lean towards the Energon version because it's paint job appears much more colorful and spunky, but the gray add on hands and feet appear to go a bit better with the dulled colors of the ROTF incarnation (or is it Universe?) I think the only differences is the color, there isn't any remolding right?

I'm just looking for a little community wisdom on who thinks what. Thanks in advance.

No remolding. I prefer the sharper colors of the Energon one myself.

Air Raid and Airazor's more notably so.

On the other hand, the add-on kit is colour-matched to Superlink Superion, not to Energon Superion Maximus. It's just the tiny nose-piece on the visor, but if you're anal retentive about it, it might bug you. Meanwhile, no colour matching problems for the Revenge of the Fallen/Universe set.

The add-on set comes with two visors. They're the same piece, but one has a silver nose, the other has a gold nose. Silver is for RotF/Universe, gold for Superlink. Energon Superion Maximus has a slightly different gold for his face, that apparently isn't as well matched.

I prefer the colors on the Energon version. Truthfully I don't think the add on kit matches either version that well, it looks alright in combined mode on the ROTF version but when you have it as the indivudial bots or jet modes it really doesn't look good

I'd got with the energon toys since IMO the colours are far nicer and you dont have the rather meh stubby nose cones

Thanks guys...I did lean a bit towards Superion Maximus. I did not know that the nosecones are studded in the Universe Superion. All that's left is to track down an affordable Superion that's comparable to the ROTF Superion price point. Maybe I can find that one that was floating around in the selling/trade section. Thread digging ho!
