As much as I kind of enjoy the blacklab transformers theme. The first one was a bit rough. They would need to tighten the mix up for the actual soundtrack and customize the background filler audio with ROTF clips instead of TFTM.

I mention it because there was a bit of outrage at the time for why this song was'nt the theme instead of mutemath's TFTM theme.

SONY music basicly said that blacklab was to late with its theme to be contracted for the motion picture soundtrack.

I found "cacophonous abomination" a brilliant insult though. Music is a tough subject to discuss as evidenced in last weeks WTF@TFW podcast.

To break it down. Music is something that we as humans connect with emotionally in order to enjoy. When it fails to connect for us it can be either generic, aggravating, or discourageing.

I like blacklab's theme because it nostalgicly reminds me of the first time I heard lion's grand 86' movie theme.

 

Why thank you. I find cacophony is a word that just doesn't get enough use. I ever so love my five dollar words.

 

Speaking of, my local heavy metal nightclub regularly plays Lion's version of the theme song, plus Stan Bush's "The Touch" and NRG's "Instruments Of Destruction". Mainly because all of the DJs are friends of mine and most of them are Transfans, haha.
